So. Do you know Travis Nowak? Ever heard of him? Travis is the Kevin Bacon of the Soudcloud Metal community. You can't go far with out hearing his voice on some track by some great new band. Working with the likes of Increased Distortion, to The Day the Sky Fell to other great unsigned artists singing and collaborating has been a mission, but a fun hobby since 2012. We've known about Travis for about a year now and have been pacing the JarCodes hallways working to secure the first interview with this Countdown Hero. And he with us. Travis has been featured twice in The Unsigned Countdown, and has even officially ranked songs as a judge. He has always been a huge supporter of our shows, and interviews that he has finally relented to our constant requests.

Friday the Thirteenth is the night. You've worked with him, or wrecked your neck listening to him. In this the very last blog of the season I'm not going to write a lot. I'm not going to force feed you a mass of words. Every thing has been said and history has been Written in Stone. Forever will the world know what happened here. Forever we all will be able to look back with pride at what we have accomplished this year 2013. It hasn't been the easiest road for some as they lay back pouting over words that were said and intents that were assumed but as we move forward those that wish to no longer communicate will be remembered as the heros they were but also left behind. Well we've almost made it. An entire season. Thank you so much for the support and each and every band featured here in our The Unsigned Countdown wants to thank you for supporting them. We would also like to thank every one of these great and brave Unsigned musicians, For making the music and for then trusting us to get it out there using the Platform we built from the ground up. From conception to finale in under a year. We were the first all music podcast to be on the Stitcher smart radio app. Now of course many others have followed us. We are still the only Metal podcast on there, as well we are still the only internet radio show, broadcast, Podcast, whatever you want to call us, That features each song in it's full uncut original, uncensored version across the planet and into iPods, tablets, phones, home computers and even car stereos and home receivers Fast and free. We are the only show that goes even further and offers reviews of the song which include genre location, and band links to every independent band we feature. And then yes we even go further by offering Live feed Interview Fan Chats. In which one of our hosts straight from the Underground Recap Sessions joins you in a unique experience. Along with our latest concept The Bandangout, where our hopes would be to connect individual musicians with a live stream stream so that we can get them to talk shop and share secrets about the process that is independent music creation.

In our next season we hope to expand and perfect what we've started. Bigger and better is the goal. Artist reputation outlets, Record executives and signed artist will be asked to share their insights in interviews and a new website with unlimited storage will mean plenty more content. We've already added a new second season Co-host who you will hear in this episode as Nicole quickly filled in for Jacob. We've asked Mordeous himself to spin a 48 episode tall in our blog posts, we have taken on a second producer specific to The Unsigned Countdown, Underground Recaps, and Interviews, and we are sure that Dr. Johns Vidner will only improve on what we hope to accomplish in this brand new idea in band promotion and music discovery.

Again our goal was to sit down and talk about music. The bands are the stars, features, and building blocks for everything we are. Without them we would be nothing. As well with out new Unsigned risk takers such as these you would be left with a homogenized commercialized sound.

Well thank you returning to not only another discussion episode. Not only the greatest of Recap Sessions, but our final regular season Underground Recap Session. Come on in sit back and join the guys for a conversation about our October Top Bands, Our October Top Two, The winner announcement but like usual so much more. After this last regular season show we will be moving quickly to our finale shows. We will be sharing our Countdown episodes both this coming Friday and the following friday. The judges took a lot of time listening to each of these songs. Ranked them from favorite to least favorite (which was a near impossibility). Now however it will be left to you the fans and bands to decide and vote for the ultimate winner of this our first season. A ripple. All it takes to change the course of history is that single moment. That event that causes that ripple. We here at The Unsigned Countdown have attempted to start the process by building a platform for unsigned and independent metal punk alternative and rock artists musicians and bands. People have asked me why it is that we've done this. It's been a struggle at times, we've done it at our own cost, and we continue to broaden our reach with concepts such as the Interview and Fan chat, The Bandangout, and more. Each member of The Unsigned Countdown, Underground Recap Sessions, and JarCodes Productions has taken time, energy, and their own personal funds to help create what has been created, and so when I'm asked that question. Every time I'm asked that question. My answer is always the same. Why do we do this? Because I fucking love to do it. Because we here as a group love to do this. Because we as a group love music. This is something we were doing before we had microphones, and podcasts. It's been something we've done all of our lives. And my guess is that it's something you have also done. When music is in your blood, in your veins, it's in your head. It's in your heart, and so we continue to do what we do for the simple love of doing it

Like I said there has been struggles. Both personally, and professionally. It's been a challenge to get bands on board, and even harder to get fans to understand the idea of unsigned and independent music. We didn't pick the most popular genres, and we haven't used sponsorship to fund what we do. The thing is however as I said above. Our goal isn't to sell out. Our objective has never been to become famous. Our goal has, and will continue to be the discovery of new and great music. The fans will come. Throughout the year our numbers have gone up, and thats great. I personally would love to stick it to the record labels by proving that they are not the only ones that know where the music scene is headed. By the time they notice what is happening the course of history will have already changed. That single ripple will have had it's affect. We will be back next week with another discussion show, next month with a finale full of our top bands, and next season with an even bigger cast bigger plans and the same love for the music.
