It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year...

So This is Christmas? Lol. I'm thinking for some the meaning of the holidays is getting a bit lost. Normally we as a people have al;l year to fate and be angry. This is the time of year to set that aside and come together as humanity. Maybe it's the stress of the season or maybe some people are just plain assholes. For me the answers to all of lives problems are easily found. For me I listen to music and when I need an answer, I find them there. This time before I begin to discuss what I usually do I'd like to leave you with a pretty good quote from a really cheesy movie."We change the world with a single random act of kindness". If ever there was a time of year to believe that, It's this time. So please give it a go and lets see what happens

Our goal has always been to feature a wide variety of Unsigned and Independent music. To offer advise to those that are seeking it and even to those that aren't. To build a community of music lovers and support them with a original and ever evolving platform. At the end of every season we let our hair down and have some fun. We open our unsigned doors to every genre, and we create something special for everyone to enjoy. That event is our Stitcher Christmas special. Merry Christmas...

The Unsigned Countdown and Underground Recap Sessions were born two years ago under the name The Artists Outlet. Started in September we began by featuring a variety of unsigned and independent musicians bands and artists. Our hope was always to spread the word about the undiscovered music thats out there and with the creation of an annual Christmas special we wanted the world to come together and celebrate the season with a new kind of Holiday broadcast. Void of the standard music thats heard every year on the radio and T.V.

This is now our third annual Christmas special and I personally could not be happier about the accomplishment. We are still the only music based podcast on The Stitcher smart radio app, The only platform there for unsigned and independent artists and so by nature we are the only Christmas special featuring unsigned and independent musicians bands and artists on the Stitcher smart radio app. Find the link to Stitcher here on our home page or on our website at Jarcodes.com

While it"s been a pretty strange year our goal is and will be to put the music first. Remember that by supporting this project you are supporting Independent music and originality. The beginning Of The End...

Hello and thank you everyone for your support over the last two years. The Unsigned Countdown and Underground Recap Sessions has been a simple idea and project used to feature promote and review new and previously unrecognized Independent and Unsigned Bands musicians and artists without the filters that other radio or podcasts seem to put up as a wall. We have highlighted music from singer?songwriter to black metal. We have brought fresh talent in to listen review and offer feedback and we have done all of this and more free of charge because thats what this project is all about.

When we first started this project my main concern was who would our audience be, now two years later as we reach the end of our second season I am still grappling with that very same question. What are we accomplishing here? And what would we like to achieve moving forward?For me and I'm sure for the guys involved it's rewarding to support musicians that are looking for a break. For me it's exciting to search out and receive new music every day, but in the end I'm still struggling with that same question. Why? Why put in sixteen hour days for a few listens? Why work so hard to reach only the artists that have been featured? We don't get much feedback or advise here at Jarcodes, and so if you have any solutions please email me personally at [email protected]

And I'm Like It Just Makes Me Angry...

Thanks for checking out our The Underground Recap Sessions. I was and am lucky enough to be joined by Travis, Jacob, Charles, and Andy this month as we discussed The songs previously featured in our October First Five. The idea here was never to gather a goup of haters, or ass kissers but instead to get a group a cross section of pure music lovers. Ask them to listen, rank, and then review the music we featured in our Countdown episodes. So while some may love a song and others hate it. In the end these episodes will offer honest feedback in a way that no other show can or does.

Some other review type podcasts might feature a band and tracks from that band, they might offer some middle of the road review as to not offend, and some shows may feature a song and kiss the musicians ass, How would that help anyone? Fans know what they like, Whats good. They don't need some broadcast telling them to like garbage just because the host wants to cozy up to some artist. Thats why we exist. To offer honest feedback to up and coming bands. To offer an outlet to them, and to promote what the record labels are worried about. Great and fresh Independent and Unsigned music. Hopefully you have as much fun listening as we have discussing. Hopefully you discover a new band or musician or artist to follow and support.

Welcome to The Unsigned Countdown. This is our Top Five of October and what that means is that these are the songs out of the ten featured this month that our expert judges liked the best. You will just have to listen to find out id in fact you agree with them this round.

What we do here at Jarcodes is we gather some of the best new and brutal independent and Unsigned music from across the globe and bring it to our judges in a list form. They list and come up with their own opinions based on things like personal preference style production innovation and more. They then submit to us their list in order of favorite to least favorite and along with the other judges lists we add the points up and come up with our Countdown. We then feature those tracks based on that order and then put those judges on the hot seat when we record The Underground Recap Sessions

In those episodes and during the Live stream recording we ask the judges why they ranked the songs the way they did. We ask the musicians bands and artists to join and listen in to the broadcast on our YouTube Channel @Jarcodes so they can help offer information as needed, and we ask the fans, Theirs and ours to listen as well so as to offer their insights and opinions. All during one recording. We offer feedback, interviews, and more that night and then we break that recording down into two podcast episodes. Stream those across that globe I mentioned, and Boom.
