This week, Drewby and Yergy head to the seaside town of Blackpool, UK, to discuss the case of 14-year-old Charlene Downes, whose case remains the Lancashire Police's longest running unsolved murder investiagtion. Charlene vanished after meeting a friend near Blackpool's North Pier on November 1st, 2003. Her body has never been recovered. Charlene's disappearance (and presumed murder) uncovered a string of grooming gangs in the areas that targeted young girls living in poverty, who often swapped sexual favors for food, money, cigarettes, or alcohol.
