Workplace romances happen all of the time. It's hardly unheard of. Affairs happen in relationships/marriages all of the time as well. Very often these two scenarios are one in the same.

That is exactly the case with Patti Adkins. Patti meets a married co-worker and is swept off her feet. She falls head over heels in love. He promises to leave his wife and she believes him. The problem is he needs money in order to do so. A lot of money. He needs to buy out his wifes half of their mechanic shop business they own together. Once he does that he will leave his wife and him and Patti can finally be together. So, Patty loans him almost 100K over a years time.

Patti tells the boyfriend that he has to start paying her back starting in July. He says ok but first they need to go on a secret vacation during their plants shut down week the first week in July. She cant tell anyone and she is to bring nothing with her.

The week comes and goes and Patti never returns to pick up her pets or her 7y old daughter. When Patti's sister calls the boyfriends house he denies ever knowing Patti and hangs up.
