When we get home we switch the TV on and in a zombie-like state wonder why we never quite feel like we are relaxing. We've got a suggestion for that. And it involves unplugging from the matrix and being (shock horror!) offline.

It's a new dawn, it's a new day it's a new life - or so every blinking bit of media would have you believe the minute the clock struck midnight on New Year's Eve. It's not that we don't love an excuse to plan and dream - it's that we hate the pressure of January. Resolutions have been proven (yes, proven) not to work, January is a bastard weather wise anyway and we've relaxed into our Christmas vibe so much that the 1st January feels like running into a brick wall. Repeatedly.

We've got this love-hate relationship with Facebook. We are sure you do too. You see, sometimes it's brilliant. It allows you to communicate with your friends all over the world and keep up with their news even when you are far away. You can invite people to your birthday party in one click. You can see photos and chat in groups and message people without being on text message all the time.

But sometimes it is absolute shit. If you are going through a difficult time, seeing the social media lives of those around you can be difficult to swallow. The algorithm means that you can miss out on really important news if you rely and Facebook for your friend updates - and there is also a concern that it is replacing good old fashioned catching up in person.

Sometimes, Facebook really sucks. We'll be discussing all this and more on the podcast and asking - will you be making the great Facebook cull?
