  • Our Divine Lineage

    Oracle Cards:

✨ Star Mother Arrakis: Rumi Oracle by Alanna Fairchild

🌀 High Priestess: Isis Oracle by Alanna Fairchild

✨ Seed of the Heart: The Journey of Love Oracle by Alanna Fairchild

🌀 Healing Chaos: Sacred Destiny Oracle by Denise Linn

Today marks the beginning of a new astrological era. The new moon solar eclipse in Aries, influenced by the North Node, is the first new moon of the astrological year. Soon to follow will be Neptune's entrance into Aries, leaving her watery domain of Pisces for a fiery new landscape. As I feel into these energies, which are deeply impacting my own natal chart, having my Ascendant at 28 degrees of Pisces, where the North Node is currently, I feel the opening of a portal we are invited to pass through, one which will change the trajectory we have been on, to bring us into deeper alignment with our spiritual evolution. The cards, as always, give us a map for the journey. As I journaled this morning, sitting in the warm Egyptian sun, a light breeze enlivening in the late morning heat, the message of Spirit was clear. Do Not Forget Who You Are. You Are a Child of The Divine Cosmos. You are Eternal. Star Mother Arrakis reminds us of this, inviting us to honor our cosmic lineage, to remember that we hold the seeds of the Universe within us. We are each a Divine Being, a universe in and of ourselves.

It is time to claim this heritage, to honor the gifts that we have been given, to trust completely in the sacred tools bestowed upon us. The High Priestess guides us to our power, to reclaim the heritage of the Divine Feminine - our intuition, our compassion, our boundless and unending Love. Just as Venus has been on her retrograde journey, descending into the underworld, stripped of all that she was to emerge anew as the morning star, carry the fullness of her Essence as she ascends, so are we called to affix our cloak of Strength, to carry our scepter of Truth, armed with our sword of Justice, and wear our crown of Light back into this increasingly chaotic world, embodying the power our Divine Lineage. It is time to honor what has been seeding in our hearts.

Each of us carries a seed inside, a gift, a purpose, a legacy that we are meant to nurture and grow. It is our unique light, the seed of our Luminosity. For all that we do or accomplish in life, our so called successes in the material world. our true and sacred task is to unmask our Light, to reveal it to the world. This is our power, this is our sacred lineage. And this is the means to heal the chaos that is escalating in the world. I was gestated in chaos, as during my mother's pregnancy my older brother was gravely ill, and her life was a series of emergencies to keep him breathing, quite literally. It took me years to understand the beauty of chaos, the healing power it possesses, if we can stand in its eye and allow it to swirl around us as we remain grounded in our Self. Find your center, find your joy, find your peace. Anchor into it, not in a denial of the ugliness unfolding, but as a reminder of your inherent strength, your power, your Light. And as we move forward into this new dawn, Shine. When the storm subsides, it is for us to remain standing. We are the ones we have been waiting for. Together we will illuminate a new way of Being, living our legacy of Divine Humanity. And so it is. Blessed be.

  • The Complacency of the Familiar

    Oracle Cards:

✨ Mama Qocha: Goddess Power Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid

🌀 Duality: The Priestess of Light Oracle by Sandra Anne Taylor & Kimberly Webber

✨ Metamorphosis: The Healing Waters Oracle by Rebecca Campbell

🌀 Completion: Mystical Shaman Oracle by Alberto Villoldo, Colette Baron-Reid, & Marcela Lobos

How much of our life is spent seeking safe harbor, ignoring the vast and tumultuous beauty of the open sea? I have an abject fear of the wild ocean - I literally cannot even watch a movie that depicts a storm on the sea, so visceral is my terror. It is an encoded fear that goes much farther back than being scarred from watching The Poseidon Adventure as a child. There's got to be a morning after, right? Interestingly enough, I love the water. Floating on the lake in the summer, the crystalline blue of the sky and the lush green of the mountains surrounding me, held in a chalice of tranquility. As a kid, I would sit on the bottom of our pool, seeing how long I could hold my breath, loving the eerie quiet, looking at the sky refracted by the water. I've also had three near drowning experiences, one in a lake, one in a pool, and one in the ocean. Water for me represents the mystery of the both/and, her lethal beauty at once alluring and terrifying.

The same can be said for our emotions, containing all of the mystery of life in our hope and fear, our love and anger. Life is not either/or, a simple dualistic structure in which experiences are either black or white, this or that. Sadly, we have been led to believe that our lives must be defined by either/or, and have created such deep divisions among ourselves in the process. With the exception of evil, everything in life is a little bit of both. Recognizing and embracing the inherent duality of life is a challenge, for it calls us to look not only at our safe harbor, but at the wild sea, and recognize that neither is wrong, just different. One of my teachers once said you don't have to make vanilla wrong because you like chocolate. The impetus we have to classify and categorize and contain life in convenient buckets that we deem good or bad is in many ways the root of all evil. It allows us to "other" - to make something wrong because it is not a carbon copy of what we know and like, because it defies our self-imposed mould. We are watching the consequence of that play out in real time right now, in a human drama that has escalated from simply left vs. right to flat out good vs. evil, democracy vs. fascism. So how do we break free of our silos, from the complacency of the familiar?

We take our cues from the water. It is eternal, primordial, our very lifeblood. It ebbs and flows, rages and returns to stillness. Do we have the courage to surrender to the completion of the old way of being, the old paradigm of duality, and allow a new, unified field to emerge? Mercury is conjunct Venus in Aries today, the planets of mind and heart embracing in the house of I Am. Can we embrace who we are, can we allow for the differences between us to no longer divide us, but rather to unify us into a more vibrant whole? Allowing the metamorphosis, rather than shackling ourselves to the death throes of extinction, is the choice at hand. Are we awakened enough to allow ourselves to evolve? I have been treading water lately, afraid to stop what I know because I fear I will once again go under, forgetting that I can also align myself with the current, and allow myself to be carried once again to the distant and beckoning shore. Perhaps the choice is no longer sink or swim, but rather float and flourish.

    Blessed be.

  • The Lioness Roars

    Oracle Cards:

✨ Aphrodite: Goddess Power Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid

🌀 Courage: The Priestess of Light Oracle by Sandra Anne Taylor & Kimberly Webber

✨ The Mist: The Healing Waters Oracle by Rebecca Campbell

🌀 The Seer: Mystical Shaman Oracle by Alberto Villoldo, Colette Baron-Reid, & Marcela Lobos

There is a gorgeous alignment to the cards today, row by row. I find it fascinating that yesterday's cards were aligned left and right, Divine Feminine and Sacred Masculine, and today they are on point top and bottom, heart and intuition. 3rd and 4th chakra, trust your gut, live from your heart. The cards are also deeply personal to me today, and it is not lost on me that Aphrodite is present again, inviting us to explore not only who we are in relationship, but how are we to ourselves in relationship. Do we honor our own heart, and have the courage to follow it with the ferocity of the lioness?

I love the image of the Courage card, the fierce and proud lioness emerging from the woman, mirroring her presence, her strength and essence. The eyes captivate me - the steady, unwavering gaze invoking a resolute sense of purpose, a commitment to Self. I am drawn into a soul story of an ancient lineage of warriors, women fierce and focused, who lead with dignity and strength, imbued with integrity and a crystal clear calling to protect and nurture home and hearth, administering swift justice to those who would bring harm. Women who walk with the lioness, tending the pride. And like mist on the savannah, the vision dissipates back to the present moment, the lineage reactivated within. The echo of Sekhmet's roar reverberates in my soul, re-awakening something long diluted. Holy Rage. She purrs in my ear, "There is no time to be polite. It is time to defend all that you hold precious, all that is just and true. Fight from the heart." She is not wrong.

And so we find ourselves in the midst of navigating a terrain shrouded in obfuscation and littered with chaos. Lies and divisions, diversions and deflections, all designed to keep us from our Knowing. The Mist calls us to trust our path, to block out the distractions surrounding us and to trust our inner GPS, our intuition, our heart. We have been conditioned to dismiss the validity of our Knowing, gaslit and socialized into believing that the voice within is "crazy", a delusion, of no value. Nothing is more threatening to an authoritarian power structure than individuals in full possession of both their intellect and their intuition. Trust your gut, live from your heart, and allow your Knowing to be your compass. We are each The Seer. Be Your Own Oracle.

    Blessed be.

  • What We Hold In Our Hands

    Oracle Cards:

✨ Crown Games: The Shaman's Dream Oracle by Alberto Villoldo & Colette Baron-Reid

🌀 Miracles: The Priestess of Light Oracle by Sandra Anne Taylor & Kimberly Webber

✨ The Mother Prays: Journey of Love Oracle by Alana Fairchild

🌀 The Lower World: Mystical Shaman Oracle by Alberto Villoldo, Colette Baron-Reid, & Marcela Lobos

I always pay attention when a card keeps appearing, and today we have the Miracles card for the third time in five days. As I draw the cards, I speak an invocation, calling in the support and guidance of the archangels and my spirit guides - essentially my "team". One energy to whom I have a deep connection is the Egyptian neter Sekhmet. She is a powerful figure in the Egyptian pantheon, the daughter of Ra, the remover of obstacles, protector of pharaohs and patron of healers, both fierce and nurturing. In my consciousness I hold her as "She who was there before time began". She is eternal, a force of nature whose energy compels me. I have visited her chapel at Karnak a few times, and felt the incredible power that ties me to a land to which, in this lifetime, I had no other connection. In this lifetime is the key. We all know that Egypt is grand and mysterious, and above all, ancient. I've been blessed to experience the power of these ancient wonders, the pyramids and temples, to feel the thread of connection that extends beyond time and space, and to wonder in awe at how these magnificent structures exist at all. The eternal land, a living testament to the impossible. I have come to understand, through various teachers as well as the ancient wisdom that resides within me, that everything in Egypt is based on resonance. It is an ancient model of what we need to remember to survive the existential threats we face today. Harmony and resonance, the key ingredients to access a power that can build monuments to the cosmos, to our eternal nature. It is this ancient wisdom to which the Miracles card is drawing our attention. It is no surprise that this is the card drawn as I invoked Sekhmet's guidance.

We each hold this ancient wisdom in our hands, in our Soul's DNA. And so the question arises, what will we do with it? The Crown Games card anchors us in the question of how we use our power, in the choice of being of service to the greater good or to ourselves. So many of us do not trust ourselves with power. I struggled with this for a long time, convinced that if I had power I could easily be corrupted, because I was not whatever enough to wield it with discernment or sound judgment. As I unraveled the patterning that began this horribly inaccurate misperception, I came to know that power is not something that comes from outside of you that you seize or wield, rather it is a presence inherent within us that we demonstrate. Thus the question of how we use it is critical. It was only when I learned to fully trust myself that I recognized I am a worthy custodian of power. I am a wisdom keeper, a task that has been entrusted to me, a vow taken that I honor deeply. If you are reading this, you are as well. Resonance, after all.

And so the cards reveal further that the use of power is an honoring of what has come before us, and a reminder that in this moment in time we must remember the past in order to learn from it, to not repeat it. The raw dominance of patriarchy has brought us to a moment where anyone other than a CIS gendered white male of a particular mindset is under threat, and that mediocrity with appropriately pale melanin is more important than skill and expertise. Eighty years ago we saw what horror was bestowed by men who had disconnected entirely from the Divine Feminine. We are on the verge of another round of that horror, frankly. Yet the way beyond it is known to us. The Mother Prays. Her power is available to us, in its compassion and ferocity, in its loving and its justice. The collective memory of our ancestors, speaking to us from the Lower World, has bestowed us with their wisdom. We carry everything we need within us. We are reminded today to call on the Divine Feminine, in Her many guises, to fortify us as we choose how we wear our Crown. May more and more of us choose Love.

    Blessed be.

  • Screaming Into the Wind

    Oracle Cards:

✨ The Wall: The Shaman's Dream Oracle by Alberto Villoldo & Colette Baron-Reid

🌀 Spirit of Place: The Enchanted Map Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid

✨ The Mother Prays: Journey of Love Oracle by Alana Fairchild

🌀 Selkie: The Healing Waters Oracle by Rebecca Campbell

The cards feel deeply personal to me today. I have been sharing these daily on my Patreon page, which has been both liberating and a source of frustration. I am convinced that the algorithm of social media is where dreams go to die. As a creator, I have an impetus to write, a Directive of sorts from Source. This is what I am here for, this is, in fact, my assignment. I carry an ancient lineage of the Bard, the keeper of words and stories, the magic of spells and incantation. This is within me, it is an integral part of my Self. The Sun and Mercury are conjunct in Capricorn in my 11th House, the Messenger of the Gods and the Self are one. For many years I avoided the gift that the words offer me, because I was terrified that I would be harmed if I spoke. The witch wound, a legacy of persecution for speaking Truth that is unpopular or revolutionary. So I quietly healed those places in my Self that were afraid to be seen, to be visible. As I did, the words became insistent in their need to be witnessed. The cards remind me today that even if no one is reading this, it has to be written. Even if no one likes or shares, these words demand agency of their own. I was given the gift, the skill, the tools necessary to form these letters and syllables into messages from the Divine, messages that are a potent medicine for the fucked up world in which we are living. And they are medicine not because I wrote them, but because they have come through me in some strange alchemy that is both me and beyond me. For this alchemy, I am deeply grateful.

And so the message today begins with the seeming obstacles, the frustration of feeling like we are screaming into the wind, requiring a resolution and patience that allows us to carry on when it feels as if we are banging our heads against the wall. Stop banging. Look for the window or door to move through, or look around for another point of egress that will bring us once again to our path. What is for us will find us, and will not be walled off from us. Patience and trust. I live in deep communion with the Divine, and the Divine is relentless is its clarity. Ask and ye shall receive. I'm pretty sure I wrote that yesterday as well. The Mother prays, the Divine is there if we ask, if we are brave enough to Receive.

Part of the equation of prayer, of communication with All That Is, requires that we do our part. Spirit meets us at the point of action. When we ask from a fear based ego need, there is a lack of vibrancy to the request. I was feeling quite pissy this morning about this whole process of sharing on Patreon, because my ego self was running the story that no one cares and who am I to say anything about anything anyway. The young, vulnerable me being told to be quiet because what could I possibly know, outwardly screaming in frustration while silently locking my Knowing inside. Well, neither Spirit nor I were having that. The Spirit of Place, calling me back to my Essence, to the medicine that has been entrusted to me and that has saved my soul. The beautiful Selkie, showing up again because the message bears repeating, Come Out Of Hiding. Shed the false skin of fear, of secrecy and shame, and love fully Who You Are.

    I breathe. I write. I Am.

    Blessed be.

PS. Here are the other places you can find me or follow my work. My goal is to be off of social media soon. Hope to see you in some of these other spaces! Much love.

  • Priestess of Wild

I have commitment issues. I know where they originate - losing my dad at eighteen and my first love a mere six years later was an introduction to impermanence that informed me. I held an abject distrust of “plans”, because life paid no attention to those whatsoever. Deferring life until a tomorrow that may never come just didn’t seem like a solid way to live. Yet I was never truly free, living life on my own terms. I chose a safe career, sensible and stable. “Accounting is a good career for women”, my mother opined in 1984 when I was choosing a college path. She wasn’t wrong. She just underestimated how epically soul sucking that path was for me. I don’t regret it. I learned so much, and I’m actually ridiculously good at it. Systems and operations are my thing - I inherently understand how infrastructure needs to be laid out in order to build a foundation for a business. It is part of being a cosmic architect. I also inherently understand what your soul requires to support its fullest expression. Different mediums perhaps, but the same skill set. At the end of the day, my accounting career was “successful”, a comfortable expression of my Capricorn sun, yet it always left me seeking. My Pisces ascendant needed an outlet. And so I delved into the mysteries, constantly evolving and upleveling my own consciousness, deepening in my awareness of my existence as a Divine Being having a human experience.

Over the years of delving, I have been blessed to encounter amazing souls on a similar journey, each a teacher in their own way. In 2016, I met two beings with whom I am deeply grateful to have crossed paths - the brilliant siblings Jonathan and Melody Mischke. Their work in uncovering our Luminous Self is extraordinary, and was pivotal for me. During a cohort I participated in during 2024, they dubbed me the Priestess of Wild. I had come into a realization of my need for unfettered self expression, to live wildly in the essence of who I am, which they were so generously witnessing. This untamed Self is a departure from the staid day job that had defined me for decades, and although in some ways familiar to me, we needed to get reacquainted. I could feel the wildness in me, rising and unfurling, like a desert sandstorm, changing the very landscape by its expression. Something needed to give, and give it did.

There were a few key moments last year that changed the trajectory of my life. They are deeply personal, and I may never share the details of them publicly. Yet they have shaped me, an invitation to the Wild I Am that could not be declined. So I sit now, back home in the comfort of my gilded cage, watching the collective devolution of what could have been cede to the chaos of what is becoming. I feel an odd peace. It is a peace born of that early loss, the conditioning of nothing is guaranteed. Should have, could have - irrelevant really, because the only time is now. The only reality is the one in which we are living. I saw a social media post earlier today that said “I am mourning the loss of the future that should have been.” I understand it, the mourning, yet I see it as grieving something that never was, something that existed only as a concept in some people’s minds. It is a vision of the future that remains aspirational, and yet in these days of chaos, I do not grieve. I have deep empathy for those who have been plunged into suffering simply because they exist, and because evil has bamboozled a whole lot of people who have traded their empathy for a sham sense of belonging. I am committed to co-creating inclusive community, based on witnessing and being witnessed. The how is becoming more clear, through my words, my presence, and the spaces I inhabit.

I have also made a soul commitment to honor my Wild. There is no guarantee of outcome, there are a thousand reasons why my next steps can be considered “crazy”, and yet here I am, unencumbered and all out of f***s to give. I have never felt more Alive. I have never felt more attuned to the Essence of my Soul as I do in this moment, as words that demand a voice are spoken, and dreams beyond imagining are birthed. Some force beyond me, and yet so intrinsically me, compels me now. Last year I took a trip to the Siwa Oasis, to the Oracle Temple of Amun. As I sat in meditation in that sacred place, I felt the eternity of sound, the expanse of elements, and the haunting call to shed all that is unnecessary. It was in this holy place that the only vestment I needed was returned to me, and it was through sacred witnessing that I found the courage to wear it once again. Adorned in my Wild, I take my next brave step.

    Blessed be.

  • The Weavers

It has been a while since I just wrote blog style, without prompt. The daily cards are such a part of my life, my spiritual practice, that it is easy to let them inspire me and inform the messages that come through. It is an energetic feedback loop that I treasure. And yet sometimes words are in me, and come through unbidden. They have a ferocity today, a relentless pursuit of air that I have no choice but to accommodate. I also have no idea what it is that I am about to write, so there is a wildness to the task that ignites me.

For the past two months I have made a conscious decision to be a neutral observer. I no longer watch the news, largely stay off of social media, and try to remain above the fray of the onslaught of fuckery that is taking shape writ large in the US. I have little interest in becoming consumed with rage at the rise of mediocre white men railing against the fact that they have to be told to be decent human beings. I have zero respect for the mediocrity that they feel somehow entitles them to respect, or for the mere fact that they are so ensconced in a grievance culture of how persecuted they are that is laughable at best. Instead of giving my energy to meeting this with emotional unrest, I’ve just given my last f**k and moved on. I am committed to migrating my online presence to spaces that are not owned and operated by man babies vying for “Daddy’s” approval in the most emasculating display of obsequience I’ve ever witnessed. Occasionally I peek in to see what fresh hell has been initiated, but for the most part I’m focusing on the things I can control.

As we pass the halfway point of the first month of the new year, I’ve been giving a lot of thought to my place in the world. I am at my home away from home right now, writing as the sun sets and the moon rises over an eternal landscape that sings to my soul with each gust of wind, each cloud drifting by as the fuchsia sun bows gracefully behind the horizon. Here, it is easy to remember my true nature. It is easy to remember that I too am eternal, that love is eternal. That the noise and cacophony of the daily news cycle is fleeting, is simply a moment in the unravelling tapestry of humankind, to be rewoven into new form at some point in the future. Only this moment is real. The place of peace in my heart is the place I return to time and again, my own internal witness to the growth and evolution of my soul. I visited a shop the other day, where women were weaving by hand on looms. Intricate patterns and vibrant colors taking shape in some mysterious sequence that yields a beautiful garment. We weave and unweave ourselves as well, becoming and unbecoming as we cycle through our own evolution.

As I navigate the spirals and turns of my own journey, I have come to appreciate deeply the unweaving. Releasing the threads that no longer hold energy - old trauma, old drama, old stories that demand a new ending. I have found this requires a certain quietude, an allowance of empty space where our passion once focused, so what is gestating can fully form and arrive unencumbered. It is at once abjectly terrifying and a cradle of Grace. I think this is how our consciousness must feel when it realizes it is in the womb - the dark, watery abyss between worlds where we are nurtured and contained, held so completely, yet without any glimpse of what lies beyond, forming into a new iteration of our Essence. In many ways our collective consciousness is experiencing this darkness again, the uncertainty of systems and structures that used to provide guardrails now falling away, leaving us like newborns blinded by the shocking new reality, desperately groping for a new “normal”. Fear and chaos abound, serving only those who stoke the unrest. What if we do not give it air, if we refuse to feed the fire by remaining centered, by living and breathing peace? What if we bypass the distraction system altogether, rejecting social media, garbage television, biased and skewed news “reporting”? What if we collectively reject the machine that we have unwittingly bought into, that life is so expensive because of all the things we “need”, working tirelessly to barely make ends meet in a system designed that way, too distracted to realize we have given away our souls, our power, to achieve a status that is always elusively one step beyond the horizon?

It is time to reweave the tapestry, to form a vision and future whose foundation is our interconnectedness. We, as the collective, are the collective. I see a landscape emerging where each brightly woven strand supports and enhances the beauty and innate nature of the thread by its side, forming a strong, intricate fabric to clothe us all. The misperception that we must be self-made, that only the rugged individual survives must be abandoned. It is only with each other, in loving compassion for each other, that we will rewrite the story of isolationism and separation, and come back to the unity that is our birthright, our collective Essence. We are One, unfailingly individual, intricately woven, and stronger together. My commitment is to use my words to connect, to celebrate, and to curate community. I will not allow the machinations of the greedy and craven to distract me from my purpose. I am here to co-create a new paradigm, one word at a time, one soul at a time. May we all find our way back to each other, back home.

    Blessed be.

  • Breaking My Own Heart

    Oracle Cards:

✨ The Wall: The Shaman's Dream Oracle by Alberto Villoldo & Colette Baron-Reid

🌀 Life Restored: Isis Oracle by Alana Fairchild

✨ Yin Yang Lover: Journey of Love Oracle by Alana Fairchild

🌀 Ancient Oak Spirit: The Sacred Forest Oracle by Denise Linn

I’ve been examining the concept of home lately. Home as an external location, and as an internal state of Being. I’m blessed to live in a beautiful place, which has been a sanctuary for the time I’ve been there. More and more, however, this sanctuary feels like a place I used to live; a rest stop needed to grieve, to heal, and to resurrect myself. It is a beautiful place that asks me to question my attachments - to things, to the way that it was, to the familiar. Stirring in my soul is a place that calls me forward, a place so unlikely as “my place” that I am continually surprised by the deep and abiding bond I am forging with it. I realize that this emerging bond is a reflection of how at home I am within my Self now.

This bond has also called me forward in asking myself some difficult questions, to expose the gremlins of distrust still lurking in my heart. I’ve spent many years protecting my heart, examining and evolving my consciousness in a process I know was vital, and also a way to keep myself separate from the deepest recesses of my own heart. As I ponder the question of home, a cascade of doubts and “reality checks” bring me back to my theme for 2025 - how brave will I be to live the life that I want to live? Am I truly committed to my Self, to my soul, my heart, my happiness? And what if that happiness is inviting me to walk an unknown path, in wildly unfamiliar terrain, trusting myself and my heart in a state of complete surrender? Do I have the courage to leave the familiar behind and walk, without attachment to outcome, into the wild unknown that whispers its siren song in my heart?

As always, my daily ritual anchors me into my Knowing. The obstacles of fear are inventions of the mind, which loves the familiar and “safe”. The illusion of safety is the death knell of possibility - how will we ever know what is possible if we only do what is known and safe? I lived for decades like that, living half a life in my now gilded cage. A life of longing to explore what is possible outside of myself. Outside of the cage is the life restored, an opportunity to live in real time the resurrection of Self that has occurred within. As within, so without. In my own sacred union, in this newly found love affair with my Self, I trust my soul’s wisdom. So with the strength of the ancient oak, knowing fully that the place of peace inside myself is my true home, I embrace this eternal land that calls me back time and again. And as I break my own heart open, my soul smiles.

    Blessed be.

  • Return of the Light

    Oracle Cards:

✨ Stars In The Sky: The Shaman's Dream Oracle by Alberto Villoldo & Colette Baron-Reid

🌀 Sacred Soul Sister: Rumi Oracle by Alana Fairchild

✨ Becoming: Journey of Love Oracle by Alana Fairchild

🌀 The Rainbow: Mystical Shaman Oracle by Alberto Villoldo, Colette Baron-Reid & Marcela Lobos

Merry Christmas, my friends! I hope everyone is celebrating this season of Light with peace and joy in your heart. As we move through these unprecedented and often unsettling times, it is easy to forget all of the light that surrounds us. I’ve spent the morning messaging friends across the globe, reminded that distance is an illusion, and deeply grateful for the amazing souls who accompany me on this journey. Soon I will commence preparation of a Ford family appetizer favorite, the epic pepperoni pie. It’s a vintage 1980s concoction involving loads of cheese and pepperoni, baked to perfection, and is one of the only things that I manage to bake without setting off the smoke alarm. A classic culinary delight! Memories of childhood Christmas gatherings, of loved ones no longer with us, and a deep appreciation for our shared lineage fills my heart this morning.

As I think of my family of origin, and the dear friends who are my soul family, I see the brilliance of the cosmos reflected in each of us. As above, so below. We are a constellation of souls, shimmering in the night, illuminating the way home with our luminosity. Our friendships and connections are a fierce defiance of the illusion of separation. Our Light is connected by our Love, and neither distance nor darkness can diminish our radiance. In an odd paradox, both only seem to make it shine brighter.

More and more lately, I feel the call to anchor within my Self, to walk forward on my path as the chaos and cacophony of the world fades into the background, to devolve and evolve as it is meant to do. I love that the cards today are all about focusing on what lights us up, trusting the voice of our first and most trusted companion, the OG Soul Sister - our Intuition, following the path with faith even when we don’t know the next step, and coming into alignment both within ourselves and in how we offer ourselves in service in the world. Such a profound message of Being the Light, of embodying our true Essence as Eternal Beings of Light. I am so richly blessed to never walk alone.

    Blessed be.

I spent the day yesterday cleaning out my closet, with the goal of accessing my Christmas decorations. I’ve simplified the decor this year, with the vintage ceramic tree that my mom made back in the 70’s as the centerpiece, accompanied by a few other pieces that hold meaning for me. In the process of getting to the boxes, I took the opportunity to sort through my clothing, and items that have been stored since I moved here four years ago. A little humble brag - I’ve released over 75 pounds during the past year, which is a journey I’m chronicling, and I realized there were a lot of items still hanging around that fit my old self. There is something strange about “outgrowing” clothes by becoming physically smaller, while experiencing a more embodied fullness of Being. I’m still getting used to it. Anyway, I freed up over half the closet with items to donate, and it seemed fitting that during this new moon in Sagittarius, my activities reflected the message of “travel light”.

As I channeled this morning, a very clear message was reiterated. Everything I need is within me. I have carried it into this moment, the wisdom and genius curated over lifetimes of lived experience. This is all I truly need to navigate the path ahead. In all honesty, I have no idea where that path is leading. I feel deeply the energy of the void, the womb space of co-creation from which all is manifested and to which we all return. Like the contents of my closet, what was no longer fits, and there is space finally for what is emerging. So how will I meet the unknown, the unknowable? Will I meet it through the eyes of expectation, of what I think that the future should be? Or will I view what is unfolding through the eyes of curiosity, my heart open and vulnerable as I offer my trust on the altar of the unknown? I think of the centaur, the mythical half horse, half man who is the symbol of Sagittarius, bridging heaven and earth, wielding his fiery arrows of curiosity. I think of how many hours of my life I had spent lamenting that things did not go to plan, when the “plan” was really just expectations, imprisoning me in a cage of unmet ideals. In reality my life was unfolding exactly as I needed, supporting my healing, my growth, my evolution as a Divine Being having a Human experience. The chains of expectations shackled me for so long, doing what was sensible - the good job, the practical career, etc., etc. What fascinates me is that as I lived this existence, my soul was, unbeknownst to me, running the show. The two lives I led - accountant by day, mystic by night, always learning and growing and evolving - they have joined in Sacred Union and are now One. They are the ineffable me that is. And I’m here for that. Finally.

So as we enter this new lunar cycle, a time of curiosity, an opportunity to deepen our wisdom by expanding our minds, my intention is to release any lingering expectations, to return them to the nothingness from which they came. I walk this meandering path carrying only what I need, vulnerable enough to surrender to the unknown of co-creation, anchored in my Self enough to know that Spirit meets us at the point of action, taking the hand of the stranger and walking into the future, knowing that my present is beautifully illuminated and unencumbered by the past. Travel light, my friends.

    Blessed be.
