And a new mandate in the city of Los Angeles now requires people visiting shopping malls, theaters, gyms or nail salons to verify they are vaccinated against COVID-19. In the Bronx, 6-year-old Aiden Hayeard boy has died after a trash compactor fire filled a NYCHA building hallway with heavy smoke. Firefighters responding to the building shortly after 5pm Friday also found a 32-year-old male unconscious in a hallway suffering from smoke inhalation. And Travis Scott's high-energy performances are known for being chaotic and fun-filled shows with concertgoers encouraged to take part in a raucous nature involving mosh pits, crowd surfing, and stage diving. The current mayor, Bill De Blasio and four unions representing city workers have now reached an agreement on COVID-19 vaccinations that affirm the city's right to impose mandates. The deal affects about 75,000 people who work in settings from school lunchrooms to trash trucks- but not for the NYPD or FDNY. And the murder trial is set to begin for three white men in Brunswick, Georgia, who are charged with chasing and shooting Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old black man. The death in February 2020 was recorded on video and caused a national outcry. ⚖️👨🏽

And in Virginia, Republican former business executive Glenn Youngkin won the governor's race, a major political turnabout in a state that had been trending increasingly blue.
