In the series finale of Shogun on FX, we get several endings to storylines we’ve grown to love and this series comes to an unexpected end. We talk about initial impressions, if the series sticks the landing, and if this finale is an exercise in subverting expectations.

Fallout on Amazon Prime did an old school Netflix drop and released the entire season at the same time. We have thoughts about this strategy, the world of Fallout, the execution of the plot, and our overall feelings about this hellscape of a franchise.

In this episode of X-men ‘97, we have the conclusion of the Lifedeath storyline and ironically it ends up being the B story. Someone whose absence looms large over the series makes their entrance and steals the thunder from Storm.

In the penultimate episode of this series, we take an atypical “slow burn” approach to how we think Crimson Sky is going to unfold. Mariko gets a chance to test her loyalty, Yabushige has no loyalty, while Blackthorne is trying to get to the yams.

In this heart-wrenching installment of X-men ‘97, we have so much pain and agony to go around, it’s ridiculous! Our favorite love triangles get some clarity and more messy, Genosha isn’t the good time we thought it was and Gambit is the real mvp of this episode!

Episode 7 is definitely setting the table for a bloody ending to this series, as we have the emergence of a new entity and the demise of a familiar face. Blackthorne gets sidelined this episode to focus on Toranaga and how he wants to be remembered.

This two for one episode of X-Men ‘97 gave us 90’s to the max and our girl trying to get her powers back from a person who trying to get some from her. Even though this a classic filler episode, it still progresses the story forward.
