A small village in Eastern Europe in 1725, saw the start of an outbreak of Vampires, after reports of the undead attacking locals. Word reached the Emperor, and the military, church, and medical professionals were sent to investigate. What they found in the graves shocked them. Many bodies were described as being in a state of vampirism. This story is not from folklore, but found in official government documents and autopsies from the time.
