What would John the Baptist say specifically to you? At a Saturday night holiday party my friend Rajiv told me that in two weeks he had been in Dublin, Ireland, London, Boston, Houston and Miami. He paused and said, “Everyone I saw is broken. Everyone has lost something.” In the Marvel Comics superhero films “the Blip” refers to a fictional event in which half of all living things perish. It hasn’t been as bad as that, but we have shared a trauma that cannot so simply be just shaken off.
