This week the gang talks about gaining 'powers' on December 21st (Winter Solstice). The origins of the conversation are discussed, as well as the epic memes associated with this phenomenon.
The crew also unpacks the new COVID relief bill which includes $600 stimulus checks. Is it enough? What else is included in the bill, & is more stimulus on the way in the Biden administration's first 100 days in office? Plus...
Does women shooting their shot with potential mates result in a higher marriage rate? Should a man be responsible for paying for food/childcare for the offspring of a woman he asks out BEFORE the 1st date? Can a man be considered a "provider" if he takes care of the financial needs of his family whilst neglecting their emotional needs? Is there a such thing as being "too nice" when complimenting your woman?
These topics & much, much, more on another fun filled episode of The Vexed Intellects! #getvexed & enjoy
On this week’s episode the crew is back sans Double Tap Tio who is taking the week off due to a minor COVID scare.
Speaking of COVID, the vaccine is out and a few “symptoms” have appeared on the horizon (6:50). We add some commentary from a vaccine professional that doesn’t plan on taking the shot until 2022. Wouldn’t you know it, Facebook (10:20) is in the news again spying on iPhone through the Instagram application. Unfortunately for FB the federal government is presenting a case simultaneously to break them up because they are too big. (pause)
In the state of Texas the are considering forming a new “Union” that is comprised of states that are full of patriots (14:15). In other news, the state of California is forwarding a bill to force new police officers to have a four year degree (16:00).
A question for our listeners, did the Church begin cancel culture with it’s self-righteous nature (30:00). We continue the conversation to discuss the Osteen church taking a $4.5 million PPP loan even though they are exempt from federal taxes. This week in politics there is some good news out of Georgia with early voting up 23% from November 3rd. The political conversation turns to Biden “clapping back” to Civil Rights leaders.
Body positivity is in the news again centered around Lizzo and he post around taking a 10 day juice detox (45:00). The “community” is upset with her choices, but we think she should be balanced and take whatever steps to remain healthy that she chooses.
The dirty mackin' hall of fame with LL Cool J coming in as the GOAT. Ultimately the conversation turns to accountability for the males.
Of course, the show then turns to love and relationships with a litany of takes on choosing a partner. Mr. Damn Himself rounds out the conversation about dating with a list of 20 characteristics that he is looking to fulfill and find in his dating life.
Next week we are brining back "Ask an Intellect" so write in a few questions because we’ve got answers.

On this week’s episode all the normal cast of characters are back in the building!!!
The show starts with a sad rendition/treatise on the NYC dialect. Jamison goes on to inquire about Mr. Damn Himself's state of mind. A quick reminder to everyone...Holiday Depression is REAL!.
If you feel you're having trouble coping, call National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255
We go on to briefly discuss the COVID vaccine… taking it quickly or nah? A resounding no but a loosening of opinion by Jamison St. James. The conversation turns to the launching of movies on the HBO MAX instead of theatre only.
The conversation turns to a quick discussion on the Georgia Runoff. Go Vote!!! The team goes on to give Ossoff the real man of genius award for debating an empty podium in the final debate of this election cycle. The show goes on to remind our listeners of the cowardice of those that are looking to garner your vote.
On another note… Do we need the check and balance for the executive office? The fellas bring back a story from last week to let the people know there was resounding support for the Texas restaurant that caught flack last week.
The show turns to WTF (46:00) for some very crazy stories you must hear to believe. The show moves (59:00) to the cancel culture for the City Girls and Leticia Wright from Black Panther. The cancellations go on to even challenge Obama and his conversation around “defunding the police”. We are all for defunding the police in a smart way that redirects funds away from policing to reduce the occurrence of arrests.
This main topic for tonight is Kevin Samuels unfortunate interaction with a young lady around looks that went viral. The Intellects share their thoughts...relax, we are fair.
All of this and so much more...#GETVEXED and Enjoy!
It's the 3rd day of the last month of the worst year ever, & the Vexed Intellects (& Shanay) are coming in HOT!!!
The word of the day is 'fussbudget'... but a room on the app clubhouse titled: "Is Kevin Hart Funny?" & a Dallas restaurant called True Kitchen + Kocktails were all the "fuss" this week.
The quartet discuss the circumstances surrounding these incidents plus... Is dating "smaller" women rooted in pedophilia? Is closure a myth? Are people that struggle financially undeserving of love or companionship?
These topics & much, much more on another action packed episode of The Vexed Intellects!

The men of the Vexed Intellects start off with more singing and harmonizing. The guys have had a few drinks, clearly. The show begins with first things first and discussing hate crimes in the MAGA era, a potential Trump pardon, Ticketmaster updates, and mental health workers answering historically policed calls in NYC.
The show goes on to discuss the upcoming battle of the vaccines between Phizer and Moderna.
Is this an inflection point in our history??
Is this evolution or should we bite the bullet and take the risk as a community?
Should we forgive student loans? What about folks who have already paid their loans?
The Intellects wrestle with the correct direction to go. The conversation begins to talk about programs and access. The conversation does a 180 and discusses a married woman that says she’s happy not being in a relationship with the love of your life. Is the love of your life the person you’re supposed to be with? This devolves into a conversation about relationships and duties.
