With online delivery demand soaring and just ahead of festive season mayhem, app-based delivery service Quench has expanded their offering to include on-demand delivery of Dis-Chem. Quench will deliver the retailer’s goods at store prices across major cities in South Africa.

According to our next guest, Quench has re-engineered their app a few times since the start of lockdown. As a result, the delivery service has seen a 90% increase in application downloads, demonstrating the influx of at home delivery services, especially as the second wave of COVID-19 intensifies.

Today we turn our attention to bone marrow transplants – we often have conversations about organs donations and blood donations, but we seldom look at the bone marrow. Do we know all there is to know about it and do we understand what a person who needs a transplant needs?

A few weeks ago, South Africa reached a milestone when the South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR) received the nod from its Clinical Governance Committee and board members, as well as the National Health Department to allow 16 and 17-year-old teens to become bone marrow stem cell donors.
