Over 80 percent of people have a fear of public speaking. I'm included in that. After a rough few days of being thrown into public speaking, we talk about our struggles with it, even though it's our job.

We just hit our 12-year marriage anniversary and it has been quite the journey. We go through our struggles and success and discussed the Institute for Family Studies article "Six Lessons on Staying Married from Couples Who’ve Struggled and Made It."

I'll be turning 40 soon and it got me thinking about getting older and my past. That somehow led us into time travel, conspiracy theories and eventually back to turning 40 and the things you should know by then.

Nobody likes to be the "new guy" anywhere. This week that's exactly what we'll be as we start our new positions. We chatted about our recent trip to beautiful Tennessee and our fantastic Father's Day.

A few years back, we put together a 50 before 50 list in which we listed 50 things we wanted to do before we turned 50. We've done some things on the list since, and others we no longer want to do. The man is constantly on the move looking for ways to improve his businesses and keeping an eye out for the next opportunity.

Do well in school so that you can go to college, get a good job, and have a good life. That's what I always heard growing up, and it seems like that message hasn't changed much, but is that the truth? We discuss our thoughts on that notion and whether a college education is worth the price.

Moises Cruz from Episode #123 returns to the podcast and tells us about his chance run-ins and hanging out with George Lopez and Gene Simmons. Aside from reminiscing about the good ol' days in Socorro, he also shares his story about "the one that got away" and his time as a Los Angeles Dodgers Bat Boy. Preston Goodwin is an Air Force veteran, having served in Electrical Power Production, as part of the Air Force's Civil Engineering arm, and as a Military Training Instructor turning civilians into Airmen. After an accomplished military career, Preston decided to take his talents back to the civilian side and became a Project Manager overseeing some huge construction projects throughout Texas. We looked back at our time in Basic Military Training and discussed the ups and downs, lessons learned, and many memories from an extremely stressful time in both of our military careers.

So many people have dreamed of being a rock star, myself included. Our guest this week wasn't satisfied with dreaming it, so he went out and lived it. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, but lived two of the most influential years of his life in El Paso, Texas, where we became friends. Moises tells all about picking up the guitar and playing for the first time, deciding to become a rock star, his journey grinding to make it happen with his band Cold Forty Three, and becoming a parent after years of touring around the country.
