The Village Podcast is back!
We are back to being a solo show, as we have to say goodbye to Jennie. Jennie brought so much wit, fun, and spark to this podcast and our village will miss her so much! (Find her on the gram, @MrsJenniePorter!)
This first episode back, Allison talks about the vision she sees for this show moving forward and gives an update on where she is in her professional and personal life, as well as how she has evolved as a mother, friend, and person during the past few years. She is feeling so thankful for the village she has created and hopes you will join in!

The Village Podcast with Jennie and Allie has been MIA because the girls are just enjoying their summer. Life gets put into perspective when you remember you ONLY TRULY GET 18 summers with your children. This podcast is our passion - but time spent with them is never wasted. We did want to bring you some content though, so Allie decided to combine the two! She kept her oldest child up late to record a little episode talking all things random! Life, sports, parenting, friendship, and more. Ryder takes a little bit to warm up, but the end result is pretty sweet <3
As always, email us [email protected] or DM us on IG @villagecommunity
It's Jennie's turn on the mic, and she's doing her best to keep things light and fun. She starts by talking about end of the school year burnout, and why we need spontaneity and fun, now more than ever.
Then it's the start of a new segment, The Half Asleep Cinema Club where she tells you which shows and movies are worth your time, and which will put you to sleep.
As always, feel free to message us @villagecommunity, email us [email protected], subscribe, rate, and review. Thanks for listening, and we'll see you next week!
Hi friends! If you were ever going to listen to Allie talk to herself for 30 minutes, let it be this 30 minute window! She hops on the mic to read some real life situations and thoughts from real life mothers. She details her busy schedule right now having her nieces staying with the family, and celebrating her oldest finishing Kindergarten! The importance of hearing and sharing and normalizing how scary and damaging and normal intrusive thoughts can be during parenting. Be kind and understanding. If you or another mother you know needs any type of support, email us [email protected], DM us on IG @villagecommunity or find a local support center for them! Love y'all!!!!!!!! It takes a village!!!!!!
Support the showThe episode focuses on a kids party that felt like it was straight out of the twilight zone. You just have to listen to believe it all! The girls deep dive on a subject surrounding socioeconomic shaming and school districts. Some Moms feel comfortable saying or asking things that are so inappropriate, and they are fueling the narrative of privilege down to their children. Silence is compliance, and Jennie had to say something. We finish off strong with two mortifying stories about social mix ups! Oops!
Thank you so much for listening and, as always, get in touch with us anytime!

This week the girls are joined in a spirited discussion with Allisons childhood friend, Katie Kinder! Katie is a married mother of two, who faced a very scary pregnancy; hemorrhaging and fearing losing the baby right in the beginning of her second trimester, that sent her into a deep depression. Even though she was raised in a very health-conscious household, she really dove into that after this incident. She was prescribed an antidepressant that she wasn't comfortable with, so she set out on another path, which sparked lots of changes in her household products, food that she fed her family, and even the way she approached western medicine. Katie is valid in her feelings - and choices - and she has every right to decide these things for herself and her family. As Moms, we are all valid in our feelings and choices and we know what we need in our life. We are huge advocates for making choices for yourself. We are huge supporters of mom utilizing ANY MEANS of helping themselves to be happy. Medication. Herbs. Workouts. Naps. ANYTHING YOU NEED. This is just one story showing another way of doing things :)
Thanks for the constant support! We love you all!

The girls welcome back their friend Paulina for a conversation around her life changes. When she found herself vomiting in a random roadside gas station, nearing the looming end of her codependent relationship that was fueled by addiction, she realized she was hitting the bottom. She talks about using weed in an unhealthy (and self-described meth-ish way) and using the drugs and alcohol to numb and change herself. Paulina 3.0 is over 100 days sober, and showing the most authentic side of her we've ever seen! She's truly thriving, and leaning into her village to maintain her sobriety, reach her highest level of creative self, and take the writing and educating world by storm! We are so proud of her... and so happy she's willing to share all of her struggles to help others.
