Dorothy and I sit down to have a chat about outsourcing social media to Virtual Assistants; having clear goals and expectations of your VA and the importance of a good communication strategy
Dorothy is a business coach as well as a VA specialising in Digital Marketing. She supports women entrepreneurs in achieving their business goals by helping them to be seen and heard online. Her ultimate goal is for women's voices to matter enough in the world that women finally achieve the equality they've been fighting for for over a century. Despite an Engineering degree, Dorothy has over 25 years experience in business communications, including government portfolios and small business. She entered the world of digital communication in the 90s when the world wide web was in its infancy and has followed along ever since. She loves social media and helping people, so it's no wonder she's now a VA. In addition, Dorothy is a sole parent to two boys aged 12 and 15 and a minion to three cats.

Neka and I sit down today to talk about virtual assistance, podcasts and provide tips on how to use Facebook groups to market yourself as an authority on your area of expertise.
Neka Williams is a virtual assistant and virtual assistant coach at Neka Said. At the young age of 27 she has built a successful virtual assistant business and now helps other women do the same. After becoming a teen mom and also dealing with the hardships of raising a special needs son she realized working a 9 to 5 wouldn't fit her family's needs. Planner girl at heart she specializes in project management and helps others organize their projects and businesses to get the most done in a day. Overcoming the many struggles of building an online business has encouraged Neka to share tips, advice and most importantly provide support to other women who want to do the same.

Welcome to episode 031 (how did we get to 031 so quickly?!) this episode a casual check-in chat with Ashleigh and Scott and something of a confession... with sweary words and, to clarify "the noise" you'll hear in the background is NOT (according to Scotty) a natural bodily function, but his chair squeaking.
... you can make your own conclusions on that one!

Ellen and I discuss a story about one of Ellen's clients where that client is frustrated at the lack of downloads that their podcast has received. This story then leads into a discussion about business and self-worth and how podcasting is a long-term strategy where you shouldn't get disheartened early on.
