I thought it would be so fun to have my dad on because he has a huge history of directing and producing. How often do you get to talk to someone who’s been on a film set to make your video that much better?

In this episode we talk about getting comfortable in front of the camera, showing your passion through video, and failing as an entrepreneur.

• Getting into feature films and working with famous directors

Loving the Journey

• You have to know who you are before you project yourself authentically on camera.
• Pretend that the camera is your best friend and you’re going to tell them a story.
• Go through your past and see what skills you learned. You never know what you’re going to use from your past as an entrepreneur.

 

Building Your Legacy

• You can tell if someone is passionate on video. You have to put your heart into it.
• When something doesn’t work out, learn from those experiences and look for the people you met who you could work with in the future.
• Make sure that whatever you’re selling is or value and is ready to launch. Once it’s out in the marketplace, it’s too late to fix it.

• Realize creativity is not an exhaustible resource. Collect your ideas wherever you get them. Get out of your space and let the creativity flow.
• End the perfectionist struggle with your videos and just have a good time!
• Your environment plays a huge role in your creativity. Make small or big changes, so you feel good.

  Building Your Legacy

• Continually speak to your audience. Ask them constantly what their problems are and turn that into content.
• Lighting is key to creating quality videos. Angie films a video during a certain time of day when lighting is the best.
• Don’t try too hard on video. You don’t have to look picture perfect. You’re a real person!

Make a little space for yourself that's dedicated JUST for your business. Grab some wall calendars from Target so you can look at your month to month.

  2. CONQUER YOUR YEAR

By Natalie MacNeil, this planner is a MUST HAVE for 2017. She breaks your goals down into actionable sprints. You can outline your exact tasks per week + she even keeps track of your water! It's absolutely incredible + I'm loving it! You can find it here.

  3. BREAK IT DOWN INTO ACTIONABLE STRATEGY

See if you like planning with a month by month focus. It really makes you focus on content creation + you end the month looking back with a feeling of accomplishment. 

  4. STARTING A TEAM

Think about bringing on a Virtual Assistant to help you take on some of the technical workflow for your content creation. It has helped me free up a TON of time + keep me on track!

You can also invest in a software like MeetEdgar that will help you schedule + automate your content for only about $50 a month!
