The Warzone Heresy Podcast

In this episode of the Warzone Heresy Podcast, the team look back on The Depths of Gehenna Part I, our latest Horus Heresy narrative event held at Dominion in Ayr.

The war for the floating hive city of Tethys has begun. Loyalist and Traitor forces descended upon the storm-wracked ocean world, battling through the sprawling hive in a struggle for control of its vital infrastructure and hidden secrets. As the campaign reached its dramatic conclusion, commanders from both sides made a fateful decision that would change the future of Gehenna forever.

Join us as we discuss the event, our own games, memorable moments from across the weekend, hobby progress, community news, and what's coming next for Warzone Heresy Scotland.

Whether you attended the event or simply enjoy immersive narrative Horus Heresy gaming, we hope you enjoy the discussion.

Warzone Heresy Scotland is dedicated to growing the Horus Heresy community through immersive narrative events, hobby content, and a welcoming community of players from across Scotland and beyond.

As the Great Crusade advanced, the Emperor's light burned away the shadows of Old Night and reveled many human enclaves locked in a desperate war for survival. Now, just as the Imperium was set to elevate mankind into a new golden age, the flames of betrayal will drown these same fledgling bastions of stability in a tide of blood and carnage. Far from the light of Sol, in the myth-drenched rumours of the Veiled Region - that a grim and ill-starred cluster of systems lingered on the edge of memory - the Carcass Straits brace to receive Loyalist and Traitors forces alike. Learn the cruel history of this region, and why the conflagration of war will come to consume Elmghast...

With a new edition comes new events, and the opening phases of The Canticle Wars: The Fires of Elmghast about to begin! Chris sits down with Paddy from Dundee to go over the forces which have answered the Warmaster/Emperor's call and are set to fight it out in the Carcass Straits.

The rumours were true! The new edition of The Horus Heresy has been released, and much like everyone else in the hobby, the gang have some thoughts. Have they played any games of 3.0 yet to inform these opinions? No, but Nick, Struan, and returning guest Craig are back again regardless to share their hot takes (ding!) about what they like and don't like about the new edition.

While we wait for the much anticipated 3rd Edition of The Horus Heresy, the gang receive some fresh intelligence. Or is it counter-intelligence? Or is it counter-counter-intelligence? Special guests from the Scottish Community Craig and James join to help (or maybe hinder) Nick sort through the secrets of the Alpha Legion. The guys talk about the backstory, the multifaceted ways of configuring the Legion for war, and what kind of shenanigans they hope the Legion will be capable of in the near future!

Emergency Broadcast! The rumours are swirling. Grainy pictures abound. Are the rumours true, is there a new edition of Horus Heresy inbound? Or, as they say, is it all hearsay? In a rare timely episode Chris, Straun, and Nick are here with some wild speculation, plenty of red hot takes, and speculation about what's to come in the new edition that definitely won't be proven wrong in a mere 24 hours time.

The gang are back on track this week with some classic Heresy content. Joining your usual compère Nick is prolific Dundonian Lloyd, from the Scottish Heresy Community and our very own Tom! This episode we take a look at the original bad guys, the Sons of Horus. The guys talk about the backstory, why they love the Legion and how they tactically use them on the table! Oh and Nick makes a rare rules mistake!

A bit of a divergence this week as the team tackle a different game system! Join Chris, Nick and Special Guest John-Luke from our Heresy Community as we discuss all things WWII!

In the first podcast of 2025, Alex, Graham, Nick and Tom discuss recent hobby developments and personal projects, our upcoming events we are running and more!

Please ignore all the screaming...

This week Chris is joined by special guest David from the Dundee Heresy Scene as they discuss all things Night Lords, with a particular focus on building a narrative but effective army, that takes full advantage of all the rules interactions this most spooky of legions has.
