We are back and this week there has been a little more news simmering away.

We discuss Sergio and Co re-joining the DP World Tour, Lucas Herbert getting a win on home soil and we dive into the Tony Finau rumours. We even delve into some Boxing and Chris crowbars his Donald Trump impersonation in again.

What Would You Rather returns with a question all about shaft length.

Chris gets called out for not playing enough golf and Whitey gives us a story of unsolicited coaching at the driving range.

Enjoy

We are back in the room after a couple of weeks off.

It's been a pretty quiet offseason so far in the LIV world, but we chat news around the promotions event, LIV/PGA Merger & the Jason Day interview.

We recap our previous guests and even a bit of world politics.

Plus, our golf turns into a chat about "What's more important to you"

On this episode of The Watering Hole Podcast, Chris sits down one on one with LIV Adelaide Executive Tournament Director; Nick Haslam.

This interview took place at The Grange Golf Club straight after the press conference announcing new 2025 LIV Adelaide Ambassador; Mick Fanning & Friday night headline act; Dom Dolla.

We discuss these 2 massive announcements plus the excitement around a Summer LIV event, ticket sales & what we can expect from Ripper Point and the new innovations coming in 2025.

We reminisce our press conference cameo in 2024 & Chris takes over from Steve and asks Nick the "Fast Four" questions.

Big thank you to Nick for taking the time to speak with Chris & his whole team at LIV Adelaide, Sam Okely from Wildcard-TGI for setting this episode up and to the staff and members at The Grange Golf Club for having us.

Fresh off his win in Spain at the G4D Andalucia Masters event last week, we are joined by local legend; Steven Alderson.

Spud, as he's affectionately known, is a golfer based in South Australia playing out of our home club at Willunga.

He takes us through his early years getting into golf and walks us through his big win last week in Europe and what's in store next, including a trip to Dubai & an invite to the LIV Pro-Am in Adelaide from the Premier Peter Malinauskas himself.

Steven defends his title this week on home soil at the Webex Players Series event at Willunga as well as hosting an all abilities golf clinic this Friday at the club.

We share plenty of laughs and fun with Spud through this episode and we really appreciate him making time for us amongst all his other media commitments!!

Enjoy Steven "Spud" Alderson.

Summer Series 24/25 is underway, and what a guest we kick off with.

Former Cronulla Sharks Premiership player, NSW Origin representative, Australian Test player, Triple M commentator, brilliant golfer and legend of a bloke; Wade Graham.

Wade is an NRL legend, and he takes us through his stellar Rugby League career including his early years at Penrith to being a key member of the 2016 Cronulla premiership side that won the clubs first ever comp.

We chat NSW Origin, World Cups and current day footy, as well as Wade's current role on Triple M & his work with the Sharks.

On top of all of this, Wade is a brilliant golfer and he takes us through his love of the game, golf trip stories and his experiences on The Watering Hole at LIV Adelaide this year.

We can't thank Wade enough for joining us and we will definitely be getting a round in Sydney very soon.

Enjoy.

Jon Rahm is your 2024 LIV Golf Champion.

We dissect all the action from his battle with Joaco Niemann at Bollingbrook, plus all the fallout from the other end of the standings as Chris breathes a huge sigh of relief as Pat Perez survives relegation by the barest of margins. Unfortunately, its goodbye for now for Kalle Samooja, Bubba Watson, Branden Grace & Kieran & Scott Vincent as they are relegated from the LIV Golf league and forced to earn their spot back through the LIV Promotions event later this year.

TWH Fantasy comes to its finale after an almighty collapse.

Chris's Quiz returns, as does What Would You Rather; and we preview the Team Championship event in Dallas this week with Crushers GC, Legion XIII & Ripper GC earning first round byes.

We are raising money for Lifeline Australia as Chris takes on a 24 Hour Challenge at Big Swing Golf Mile End on the 11th & 12th of October. Please follow the link below and give generously.

This week we are joined on The Watering Hole by Clint Newton. Clint is a former NRL player with the Newcastle Knights, Melbourne Storm & Penrith Panthers as well as a stint in the UK with Super League outfit Hull KR. These days he is the current CEO of the Rugby League Players Association.

Clint is the son of legendary former pro golfer; Jack Newton and he takes us through growing up around golf and sporting legends as well as some amazing tales of resilience and determination following Jack's accident. Lessons that served Clint well in his career in the NRL.

There are some great stories from his days with the Knights and his baptism of fire as he navigated the players through Covid times.

Clint shares his views on the current state of World & Australian Golf and shares some old stories from his Dads times with Seve & Jack Nicklaus.

We chat Shortees and how Clint became one of the owners and The Jack, the charity tournament to be held in December this year. See the link below to get involved.

Massive thank you to Clint for joining us on the show, Part 2 is definitely in the works!
