In this study we take another look at the rapture of the church. We look at the principle behind the rapture, and we look at the timing of the rapture. It is a topic that does have controversy. However, we encourage you to study the scriptures, commit it to prayer and let the Holy Spirit be your teacher.

We also look at the comfort that the rapture and the day of the Lord should bring to every believer. Satan will be destroyed in the end. Jesus will defeat him completely with the breath of His mouth and the brightness of His coming. This is the comfort of the rapture.

We live in exciting times. Look up, our salvation draws near.

The people in Malachi's day had grown disappointed since the prophesies of Haggai and Zecheriah had yet to be fulfilled. As a result, they now neglected God's word. They had no regard for God's name. They were walking by sight and not by faith.

As believers, we must stay true to Jesus and His word. We must remember that God's word never fails. That Jesus never fails. True faith does not put a time line on the promised of God. True faith simply believes God's promises knowing that they will be fulfilled completely, exactly and in God's perfect timing.

May we all walk by faith.

Deception concerning the day of the Lord had entered the Thessalonian church. This deception had both shaken and troubled them in their minds. To remove this deception from them, Paul presented two events that must take place prior to the day of the Lord.

In our last study we looked at the first event, the great falling away. In this study we are looking at the man of sin, the antichrist revealing himself as God. The Bible refers to this as the abomination of desolation. Both of these events must take place prior to the day of the Lord.

There is much deception in the church today. It is quite amazing when we realize how much deception exist concerning the second coming of Christ.

Knowing God's word and living in obedience to God's word can never be overstated. It is the only protection we have against the cunning deception of the enemy.

In this study, God declares that He does not change. How comforting to know this. His love, grace and mercy never changes. How wonderful to know that our righteousness and holiness depends not on our performance but on God's promise.

For I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed to Him until that Day. II Timothy 1:12

Paul now transitions from prayer to the issue of concern, the purpose of his letter. The Thessalonian church was troubled and shaken about the doctrine concerning the second coming of Jesus. They thought that the rapture had passed them by and they were living in the day of the Lord.

Paul dispels this confusion that has entered their church by laying out to things that must absolutely happen prior to the day of the Lord. First, there must be a falling away from the faith. After this the man of sin will be revealed as he presents himself as God to be worshipped. Neither of these things had happened.

In this study, we do a deep dive on what he falling away is; how we can identify it and how we can avoid being a parts of this terrible movement

In this study, we take a look at marriage. Marriage is God's institution. God loves marriage and He hates divorce. Our view of marriage must be the same as God's view.

It is in marriage that we learn the heart of God. It is in marriage that we come to know the depth of our relationship with Jesus. Marriage is God's best.

We now begin Paul's second letter to the Thessalonians. This church continues to grow in both their faith and love. They are growing at incredible rate in spite of the persecution and tribulations that they are living in. While no one desires persecution and tribulation, it is the perfect soil in which our faith and love can truly grow to the glory of God.

This passage is more than relevant for our present day. As the return of Christ hastens, the persecution and tribulation will rise rapidly. What are we to do?

Know God's word and live in obedience to it regardless of cost or consequence. Know that God is sovereign. Know that all His judgments are righteous. It is the persecution and tribulation that we will face that allow us to be all that God has called us to be for the days we are living in.

We now begin a study in Malachi. The thrust of the first chapter is that God wants all of us. He wants our best. He wants us to surrender every area of our life to Him.

Maybe you are struggling in your walk. Maybe you are living in defeat. Have you surrendered all to God? If not, why?

We cannot walk in the power of God until we kneel in surrender before the throne of God.

We now come to the conclusion of the first letter that Paul writes to the Thessalonians. It is a rich letter with a strong focus on the second coming of Jesus. This letter not only emphasizes the return of Jesus but also challenges us to live for Jesus as His return approaches.

Paul ends with a wonderful blessing. A blessing that reminds us of all that God has done for in Christ. We will be sanctified completely and be presented blameless before the Lord on that day. All of this will take place because God is faithful. He will do it.

With this in mind, we must rejoice always, pray without ceasing and in everything give thanks. This is the will of God for us in Christ Jesus.

We now come to the conclusion of Zechariah. Zechariah and Hagai had both written to the Israelites who had returned from Babylon. Hagai wrote encouraging them to restart the building of the temple. Zechariah wrote telling them to finish the work they began. May we all start the race well. May we all finish the race well.

These last few chapters of Zechariah have focused on the second coming of Jesus. God's word is true. We can know for a certainty that Jesus is coming again and He is coming soon.

Let us all be ready for His return. May we all keep our hand to the plough and never look back.
