The Way We See It

Our country is experiencing a time of great division and conflict between people. With the upcoming election season, I don't see it getting any easier. There is a new movie out called "Civil War", it is the story of a team of military-embedded journalists traveling around the country telling the story of an actual civil war of rebel states trying to descend upon the White House and take down the President. Although this movie is fictional, in this episode of the podcast, Pastor Alex talks about how this could happen within our country if we are not careful.

A few years ago, our society finally acknowledged the routine mistreatment of women and attempted to address the chauvinistic and misogynistic tendencies that have, ashamedly, permeated our societies. In our quest to eradicate toxic masculinity, the pendulum has swung all the way over to the other side, we are now experiencing "noxious (dangerous) feminism". In this episode of the podcast, Pastor Alex recently read an article about a physically healthy 28 year old Dutch girl who suffers with mental illness and has decided to end her life through euthanasia. She made this decision after being told by her psychiatrist that her condition will never improve. She doesn't have hope that she will ever live a normal life and so she is planning to have doctors administer a lethal drug that will stop her heart and end her life. This is extremely sad! In this episode of the podcast, Pastor Alex is joined by Trey Bryant and they discuss how with God there is always a reason to HOPE.

In this episode of the podcast, Pastor Alex chimes in on the proclamation that the President issued this past weekend. President Biden proclaimed Easter Sunday, Resurrection Day, the day that Jesus rose from the dead, as Transgender Visibility Day. I'm not making this stuff up and it's not an April fools joke. The White House is choosing to honor and exalt the LGTBQ community over the millions of Christians in America and Biden has betrayed the central tenet of Easter with this proclamation. This is outrageous and abhorrent and I'm not standing for it!

Haiti is in crisis and needs prayer and support. After the President of Haiti was assassinated a couple of years ago, the country has experienced political instability and unrest. Heavily armed gangs are sowing mayhem in the streets, killing indiscriminately, breaking open prisons and blocking aid from entering the country. Nearly half the country is hungry and officials say that 1 million people are starving. Todd Cairo was a student in The House College and Young Adult Ministry that Pastor Alex and Angela led in Ft. Myers, FL. He was a faithful leader who had a heart for serving. With Christ at the center of his life, Todd was on top of the world with a wonderful career, a beautiful wife, and a loving family. Then, he forgot about God, choosing to live life in his own strength and he slowly abandoned his faith. It cost him dearly and he hit rock bottom. This is his story.
