  • Ep. 237 | Conversation about DUDES with Adam DeVizia

This is a fun episode between Pastor Alex and one of his good friends, Adam DeVizia. They talk about kids (they have 11 between the two of them), ministry, and what it's like being a DUDE. Both of these guys are doing ministry for men and they sit down to discuss what it's like to lead other men in this society that doesn't focus on masculinity.

Alex Bryant Ministries is focused on helping people be reconciled to God, then within one's own self, and finally being reconciled to our fellow man in order to become disciples.

  • Ep. 236 | Disagreeing is NOT Bullying

In our society today, social media gives us the opportunity to disagree with people on a daily basis. Everyone has the opportunity to post their point of view and we can all comment. Contrary to popular belief, I want to point out that just because you disagree with someone does not mean you are bullying them. We have to learn a better way to interact with people who don't see things the same way we do. Check it out.

  • Ep. 235 | President Trump on Addiction and Sobriety

Theo Von is a comedian who has a weekly podcast with over 3 million subscribers. President Trump went on his podcast and had a lot to say about addiction and sobriety. When he was younger his older brother, Fred told him to never touch alcohol or cigarettes. And Trump listened and has never touched alcohol, drugs, or even cigarettes his whole life. This is a message that everyone needs to hear.

  • Ep. 234 | Candace Owens is Going Off the Rails

Candace Owens has been an important voice to this generation of young conservatives. She came on the scene several years ago with her thought provoking questions that she wasn't afraid to ask and encouraged all of us to ask. She is sharp, articulate, and extremely smart. That's a good thing, right? Well, we must remember that our biggest strengths can also be our biggest weaknesses. And it appears that Candace has fallen into the old trap of having her knowledge lead to arrogance. She is making some wild assertions about Israel and other world leaders that has left many scratching our heads and wondering if she has gone off the rails. You may be wondering the same thing after listening to this episode.

  • Ep. 233 | PROTECT Women's Sports

I posted about this on Facebook a week or so ago and got a lot of feedback from this, but I'm going to say it again loud and proud… We must PROTECT women's sports. Girls, women, females, people with XX chromosomes should ONLY compete against other people who are the same as them! This most recent example of two non-biological females winning gold medals in women's boxing should never be allowed. That's just not right!

  • Ep. 232 | Olympics Opening Ceremony Issue w/ Darryl Wootton

We all watched the blatant blasphemy during the opening ceremony of the Olympics. In spite of what some are trying to say, it was absolutely offensive to Christians. Social media was buzzing with people wanting to weigh in on it. One of the best responses came from Dr. Darryl Wootton, pastor and leader in Oklahoma. His response has been shared almost ten thousand times on Facebook. I wanted to have a conversation with him about his strong, yet gracious response. He lays out the truth of why it was offensive, challenges us to acknowledge no other religion would have been ridiculed in this way, yet in the end, he brings the focus back to our mission as Christians, which is to help people know Christ. Pastor Alex and Dr. Darryl had a good discussion.

  • Ep. 231 | INSPECT What You EXPECT

Growing up, my dad was meticulous about the way he wanted our lawn mowed each week. He taught me what to do and then he kept a close eye on me while I completed the task. My dad taught me early in life that if you don't have time to do something right the first time, you won't have time to do it over. He inspected what he expected. If my dad did this with something as fleeting as mowing the lawn, how much more important do you think it is for us to do this with the way we live our lives. The book of Ephesians encourages us to live as children of the light. That's not something we do once and are done. We have to make "right living" a lifestyle. It requires us inviting God to INSPECT us, as well as us taking the time to INSPECT ourselves.

  • Ep. 230 | Be Anxious For Nothing

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. (Philippians 4:6 NLT) That verse says easier than it is to do, would you agree? Yet, that's still the standard. People are way too anxious nowadays and they worry about too many things. We are even teaching this bad habit to our children. We need to learn to take the Bible at face value and focus on developing an effective prayer life so that we can combat the destructive habit of worrying. That's what this podcast is all about.

  • Ep. 229 | Dealing with the Poor

What do you do when you see someone on the side of the road, panhandling, asking you for money? Do you give it to them or keep looking straight ahead and ignore them? Jesus said we will always have the poor among us so I'm sure you know a few poor people. The question becomes, who's job is it to take care of the poor? The Church, the government, or you and I. This is the question we are discussing in this episode of the podcast.

  • Ep. 228 | Parents vs. Teachers

Parents and teachers are not supposed to be at odds with each other, but sometimes it feels like this is just the way it is doesn't it? I was a little disturbed when listening to a speech delivered by Becky Pringle, the President of the National Education Association. She delivered this speech at the 2024 National Education Association (NEA) Representative Assembly where she called for widespread changes to make the system more equal for all students. This seems amenable at first, but after listening to the speech, I realized they are putting way too much emphasis on the race and sexual orientation of our children. During this episode of the podcast I talk about the growing divide between parents and educators. I discuss WHY this divide exists and hit on what we need to do moving forward.
