From those phrases, Furtick believes there is a prophetic word that we can get from these phrases. The first of these is a word of Forgiveness and Pastor Alex spends time talking about that.

In this Father's Day episode of our podcast, Alex shares thoughts from his book project, MAN UP. From 1 Kings 2:1-4, when King David is about to die, he leaves a charge to his son Solomon to be strong, act like a man, and observe the Lord's commands. He tells him to continue walking in obedience to God and then he will prosper. We need strong men in our culture. Men who will be strong, obey the Lord, then you will prosper. Man UP!

If we are willing to listen and learn, there are so many leadership lessons we can learn from the life of Jesus. In this episode of the podcast, Alex talks about a couple of those lessons straight from the book of Mark, first chapter. Alex encourages each of us to examine our call to leadership and who we have speaking for us. Leadership is about influence. Don’t allow yours to be wasted.

During this episode Alex and Angela are joined by their son Mason, and they give their take on the Uvalde School shooting. They discuss everything from the delayed response of the police, to what needs to be done to keep kids safe, to gun control, mental illness, and even the spiritual void we are experiencing in America. There is so much to examine from this tragedy, but the bottom line is we have to do a better job of keeping our kids safe.

Pastor Alex is all by himself once again and discussing marriage. With between 70-90 million babies having been aborted in the US in the last 50 years, it's time for us to move beyond framing the abortion issue in cordial and comfortable language. Are you “pro-life or pro-choice?” That phrase seems to frame this choice in a more palatable way, which has made it a little less egregious and evil. It’s time for us to call it for what it is, killing babies.

During this episode Angela and Alex discuss things God is revealing to them in the midst of dealing with their son, Mason, being diagnosed with leukemia. Angela stresses the importance of intentionally filling your mind with God’s Word so that you will be sustained during the storm and Alex talks about fully turning to God in the midst of a storm. They also share a few prayer requests for Mason.
