Ben’s choice is Spotlight, a hard-hitting Best Picture winner that takes a deep dive into the world of investigative journalism. Phil picks Tommy Boy, a buddy salesman comedy that features Chris Farley & David Spade, a resurrected deer and an appearance by evil Rob Lowe.

Then, Ben’s WAYWA is the Netflix sketch comedy series I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson. Which you shouldn’t try unless you’re ready to have your brain broken by absurdity.

Phil and Ben Floodlight the 1973 animated Disney feature Robin Hood, which is a classic to some, but many critics have poured on the hate over the years. The guys get heated as they get to the bottom of it all and make their case for why this charming and magical adaptation is worth remembering with its whimsical musical soundtrack and its subtle and grown-up sense of humor.

And even though it gets dark for a Disney movie, at least it’s not as scary as Finding Nemo. For Ben’s sake.

Phil has WAYWA this week and talks about Euphoria, a Zendaya-led HBO limited series about the dark teenager issues. Because we only talk about teen dramas.

They’re on opposite ends of the spectrum this time with their silent film selections. Phil gives Ben Sherlock Jr., a 45-minute action-packed sprint made by the legendarily-forgotten Buster Keaton. Ben dishes out Metropolis, a nightmarishly long German film that helped launch modern Sci-Fi.

The guys also hit on No Time to Die, the latest (and last?) James Bond film from Daniel Craig. They answer the big question: Should James Bond be a woman now?

Phil has WAYWA and talks about Scenes from a Marriage, starring Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac doing acting really good.
