AUDIO NOTES:LISTEN NOW! What is content these days?  I’m not 100% sure how many will answer this question but I know “Content is King”.   Let’s now turn to a proper definition of the term “content”.  After being 100 percent content on skipping the first definition of being “in a state of peaceful happiness” we can move on to this articles intended definition of “something that is to be expressed through some medium, as speech, writing, or any of various arts”. Now we know that content, in short, is an expression, and if you were to express something you were to put it into words. Being we are now left with only words how do we provide power from them?  Since we’re on the definition kick we will lastly define power as the “ability to do or act; capability of doing or accomplishing something”. I draw the simple conclusion that wording something properly provides the ability to do or act.  It is with this conclusion that a websites content is indeed king.  Sites can be filled with great graphics and stunning photos, however if content is not moving the viewer to do or act then what is the point? Enter, massive action.   How can your site generate massive action?   First, we must understand what exactly massive action is.   I’m under the impression that similar to the word “content”, “massive action’s” interpretation is in the eye of the beholder. From my perspective massive action is a relentless pursuit of every idea, thought, and possible actionable item that will result in the most desirable outcome. My question to you is does your website contain the most powerful content that has been relentlessly pursued, if not I would question the ability to achieve your desired outcome. Reading through my facebook feed this morning and stumbled on a post from Spiro about the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Salespeople,  I belive they are all common habits that pay off, and I added a bit to each one and how it applies to your Website. AUDIO NOTES:LISTEN NOW! Think about your website in the same way, its out there selling for your 24-7 - 365, its your virtual sales person, treat them well and recognize the star components. 1. Commitment - This should speak for itself, what could ever succeeds without commitment? To have a successful website there needs to be a commitment to creating, maintaining, and growing it. 2. Begin with the end in mind - It all starts with "What is the primary goal of your website?" 3. True relationship building - Engage with your viewers, use social media, respond to messages, communicate with everyone timely, proactively, and genuinely. All help to establish rapport and build trust that result in true relationship building. 4. Going the extra mile – Sometime the extra yard even helps, an extra good will gesture always pays off, with today’s technology automation is simple to integrate, thank you and follow up emails can be automated with a custom feel. 5. Seek first to understand, then to be understood – If you’re not listening, then you thinking about yourself. Understand the content your viewers want to see and provide it, tweak it, and work it. 6. Control what you do now – Take action, a website does not develop and grow on its own by simply being live. 7. Knowing your “why” – Not to be confused with #2, while you know where you want to end up, the question is why you want to end up there. The answer to the “why” is the fuel for the fire and the driving factor. Why do you want a website?
