In our summer series, Invitation, we are reminded that true peace is not found in our circumstances, but in the presence of Jesus. Rather than striving to find peace on our own, we are invited to receive it from the one who has reconciled us to God. As His peace takes root in our hearts, we are shaped for the life He has called us to.

As our summer series, Invitation, continues, we encounter Jesus' invitation to remain with Him in prayer. As Jesus remains faithful to the Father's will in the midst of suffering, we see that God often forms us through a life of prayerful dependence. In drawing near to Him through prayer, we grow in our understanding of His presence, His purposes, and His care.

Our summer series, Invitation, leads us to a moment where faith is tested and trust is refined. Through the faith of those who came to Jesus in desperation, we see that belief is not about understanding how God will work, but by trusting in who He is. As our confidence in Christ grows, we learn that the object of our faith has always been more important than the strength of our faith.

As we move through our series, Invitation, we encounter the compassionate heart of Jesus as He shepherds and provides for His people. In His invitation to the disciples, we see that life with Him is not about striving in our own strength, but offering what we have and trusting Him to provide what is needed. By following His lead, we learn to trust the one who faithfully cares for His people.

As we move through our series, Invitation, we encounter a moment where Peter is met by Jesus in the midst of disappointment and uncertainty. His response reveals that following Jesus often begins with laying down what we carry and trusting the One who calls us forward.

As we continue our series, Invitation, we encounter Jesus’ call to a life marked by faithful surrender. While hardened hearts can resist His work, the Lord gently shapes us through His Spirit, His Word, and His people. In learning to trust Him, we become more attentive to His voice and willing to follow where He leads.

As we begin our new series, Invitation, we encounter Jesus’ call to a life shaped by His grace. By learning to live into His invitation, our relationship with Jesus deepens, drawing us into greater dependence on His will and leading us into a place of rest in Him.

As we consider the kingship of David and his wrestling with the weight of God’s holiness in a moment of tragedy, we encounter a moment where faith is tested and devotion takes shape. David’s continual pursuit of the Lord reveals that a life fully given to God is formed by both a passion for who He is and a surrender to His Word.

As we consider the life of David and the journey that led him to the throne, we are reminded that seasons of desolation are not without purpose. David’s story continually invites us to consider how even in difficult seasons, the Lord is drawing us closer to His presence and forming deeper spiritual maturity within us, for our good and for His glory.

As Saul’s reign comes to an end and Israel enters a moment of transition, we are reminded that the direction of our hearts shapes the legacy of our lives. Saul’s story warns us that we can remain around the things of God while drifting from a true relationship with Him, inviting us to build our lives on a faithful and abiding walk with the Lord.
