The sun really packs a punch now eh? With lots of people noticing the warmer valley weather yesterday - despite the colder temps and winds in the alpine - some goggle tans are getting a real power up now! Which also means the sun can weaken cornices very rapidly!

Hot damn, the skiing has been so good recently: loaded, grippy steeps with great tree skiing at all elevations - the cold temps have really kept the snow quality primed eh? ^_^

Minor flurries expected throughout the week with slightly milder temps forecast today. There were 3 major avalanches on the Duffey involving skiers/boarders this weekend: MINS online - cross loaded wind slabs were reactive! Stay safe and happy Monday!

Mixed vis this morning with another 3cm on the storm board overnight but those winds have transported snow to much deeper pockets! ;)

Lots of events this weekend: including an industry tasting at the Fairmont at 2pm today - before Winetastic - from the WB Foundation!

Just 2cm on the initial snow report this morning, with high alpine winds... but you don't know until you go - as they say. With more snow due to fall this morning, I'm heading up for a poke. We don't have any major accumulations in the forecast for the next week after all.

A little dusting of 2cm this morning but wind speeds are on the rise with another system due to bring us a dump tonight with up to 15cm expected in the valley! Huzzah!
