Did ya ski yesterday?? Expect similar conditions today (variable vis, schmoo and sticky) with clearing skies forecast this afternoon but Alpine winds are much higher this morning: circa 100kmh!

3cm overnight but with temps just hovering below zero at the Peaks this morning and 50kmh winds - I'm not holding my breath :/ I'm sure we'd all hoped the freezing level would rise later today but alas, it's high already.

14cm eh? Hot damn. Get after it!!

The freezing level shoots up tomorrow and yesterday's persistent winds of 50kmh in the high alpine means deeper pow pockets on north facing slopes <3

Variable visibility expected but have a cautious approach in bounds (ride with buddies) and out of bounds too because despite the Danger rating of 2 in upper elevations from yesterday's 4pm Avalanche bulletin, the wind loading and overnight snow will likely be reactive!

There felt like more than 6cm underfoot in yesterday's low vis and today's better vis will mean the search is on! More snow expected tonight through tomorrow and a lower freezing level: huzzah - the spring stick on the ski out was strong yesterday!

Temperatures may be slightly cooler today with flurries and sunny breaks but 0cm feel overnight.

POW DAY!!! 10cm/4in might seem mediocre to some but trust me, there were deeper staches yesterday and there will be today! Ride safe and with buddies in trees: tree wells are a mounting hazard this week!

5cm on today's initial snow report but plenty more on the way today, with pretty mild temperatures and strong ridge top winds expected (currently 60kmh over the musical bumps - southerly direction - and -4 around 1800m).

A trace amount of snow sits in the valley this morning: heralding the arrival of the accumulations we've all been waiting for! Huzzah - snow!!!!!

Yesterday, the BC government announced it would be lifting it's mask mandate (starting at midnight last night)! I for one, am excited for people to see my smile at work again ^_^ Some businesses may still be mandating masks for their staff (WB) and customers however...
