Just a couple of CMs sat on the storm board this morning but a flurry continues, with increased cloud forecast this afternoon and those frigid, potentially record breaking temperatures, due to really hit this evening and tomorrow!

30cm!!!! Grab your gear and get after it. You betcha the Alpine is gonna be wind effected and take a while to open today after yesterday, so patience will be a virtue: expect busy lines of course!

11cm eh? The freezing level did rise last night, and is due to rise again today, with reports of heavy, saturated snow and rain in the valley (0 degrees)and winds rockin' around 100kmh at the Horstman Hut (6 degrees).

Tomorrow will be the better day but you don't know until you go: I'm heading for a dabble!

This week is shaping up to be a beauty too: expect more people on the hill however with the Christmas Holidays now in full swing ^_^

With a storm rolling in this evening - and extreme winds forecasted - expect to see busy conditions on the Mts over the weekend and approaching Christmas. Lift lines during this week have been fantastic but a change is coming as Kids finish school for the holidays and our town sees an influx of visitors: adjust your expectations accordingly ;)

Remember last Saturday? Expect a similar scenario tomorrow with heavy precip; a freezing level rising to 1000m on Saturday afternoon and high winds sky-rocketing the Avi danger: meaning limited terrain and thus a high concentration of riders. Sunday however, sees a ridge of high pressure return and a return to the cooler temps we've been experiencing but be sure to read the latest avalanche blog for the Sea to Sky from Avalanche Canada: even inbounds requires a lot of consideration right now!

Just a couple of CMs sit on the storm board this morning but light flakes continue to fall and are due to give way to clearer skies this afternoon. Tomorrow, the ridge will give way to a front bringing us heavy snow with extreme winds also forecast (expect similar conditions and lift lines on Saturday to last Saturday)!

Maybe you're going to enjoy a sleep in today? Rest your legs? I don't blame ya! But... visibility looks set to be superb again and there's still plenty of pow to hunt ;)

I hope you've had some fantastic skiing recently! We've got a break in accumulations - with cool temperatures remaining - until the next front arrives on Friday.
