Woah!! That's a lot of snow!!

We knew it was going to be tempestuous this weekend but I'm sure your stoke for winter is gonna take you by surprise when you see how much snow fell and has still to fall! Yeeeeeeeeew.

We have a wonderful Guest in the Local Lounge today: Sam Marra from the Howe Sound Women's Centre. Thank you SO much Sam for everything you and your dedicated team at the HSWC do within our communities! <3

Sure, it's a little cloudy today and we're due rain but c'est la vie. Tomorrow looks to clear with better weather on Thursday before a big drop in temperatures!

I feel like today's biggest news is the Bylaw amendment to the speed limit on municipal roads in Whistler: which will be reduced from 50kmh to 30!! Details on the Roads page of whistler.ca

People might be harking on that Summer is over (not me): but this weekend's stacked roster of events says otherwise! You are spoiled for choice on events this weekend to attend and observe! The weather outside is weather too: dress appropriately. It's just a few showers ;)

I see fresh snow on the Peak webcam this morning but I'm not gonna say the Stark House moto just yet... I remember swimming in Levette Lake in October last year. None the less, we'll have a cool day today and better weather tomorrow through to Saturday.
