I'm still deciding what format and programming changes to make to the Whistler Pulse for the Summer... Any and all feedback would be very much appreciated!

After taking a break yesterday, it felt weird to not deliver the Whistler Pulse. There will be some programming changes to come of course, but there's still plenty of Local info to provide whilst you brew coffee; eat breakfast; or drive to work, right? I of course want to keep the Local Lounge going, so please reach out to me with feedback and ideas - this Podcast is aimed to serve and inform the community after all ^_^

If you're coming back from a ski trip without reception and this is the first thing you listen to... weird and thanks! But the news that WB has closed for at least 3 weeks reached our ears circa 1pm yesterday and we won't have the pleasure of lift access terrain, nor the ability to dine-in at restaurants whilst we, and those visiting to ski, distance in an attempt to bring down case numbers.

Other ski hills across BC remain open.

I'm gonna figure out what to do with the Whistler Pulse in the interim... perhaps drop it down to 2 episodes a week? A Tuesday show and a Friday show? And publishing it at a more reasonable hour? What d'you think? I would very much appreciate your feedback, so please reach out: [email protected]

If you're not up already for today's bluebird pow day, what are you doin'?? Big night?

It's gonna be stellar Folks! After yesterday's storm and high winds, expect lots of wind loading but also wind effected snow on southerly slopes in the Alpine. Today's sun will warm slopes quickly too, so be strategic and wear sunscreen ^_^

What a B E A Utiful sunrise today! Make the most of the sunshine if you can because a storm's a brewin'!

Yesterday's south facing slopes got baked and with sun coming later this morning, look out for a sticky ski out too! Ha.

2cm eh? That's what the preliminary snow report says but there's more than 2cm on your driveway this morning!

With winds near 90km overnight, expect some wind loaded deeper pockets forrrr suuuure. However: there might also be a lot of dust on crust. Yesterday's morning sun will leave some firm conditions underfoot too!

Skin protection recommended today after yesterday's glorious spring day. We have some snow on the way this evening but only forecast to amount to 3cm with a further 5cm predicted to fall tomorrow morning!

Accumulations are uncertain for the rest of the week right now but trending on light precip.

Get that Vitamin D!

After an afternoon of constant dusting, only 3cm is recorded on the storm board this morning BUT with high winds last night and a change of wind direction today, expect to find pockets and/or wind effected snow!
