- episode_92 // going next level in Las Vegas
From rolling over his car in the final race to rocking autographs on people's shoes on the strip, our experience in Las Vegas for Ellis's first ever Nitrocross race did NOT disappoint.

This podcast is comprised of entries from the journal I've been keeping since the day we got on the road in the middle of a global pandemic to go racing.
Shamelessly authentic and always with a sense of humor, I hope this story gives you a look behind the sheen of social media-- the shiny posts about racing, travel, and of course, eating, and sheds light on what it's really like to be a family taking risks and living life on the road.

Despite somehow taking a 5 week break between entries from the start of the year until this entry, I'm talking about Ellis's first ever rallycross test day, broken spirits in a Barcelona hotel room and getting real about budgets as the Renegade moves up in the world.

10 min - episode_88 // an American Thanksgiving experience in Germany
Explicitly American holidays like Thanksgiving are always a bit odd in Germany, but we make the best of it. It also always conjures up any remaining existential dread that's wandering about.
Yay. Holidays.

5 min - episode_86 // birthday plans, derailed
Your kid only turns 18 once, and even when you try to do nice things, they don't always pan out. Cancelled races, visits to a legend's memorial, and endurance kart birthday parties, we made the best of it.

11 min - episode_84 // another laundrymat musing on paralell realities
Once again outside the laundrymat, I'm wondering if I should write about 'what' or 'how and why,' and once again recognizing the parallel reality of existing in Germany or Hoboken, or anywhere else on the planet.

About The Whole Story // risking it all for electric motorsport dreams
From the publisher's feed
'Life is good, life is hard, these two truths are unrelated.'
In the middle of a global pandemic, my family decided to risk it all and follow our teenage son Ellis's passion for racing, leaving everything behind in the US and heading to Europe. This podcast is a series of audio recordings of the journal I've been keeping since the day we got on the road.
Shamelessly authentic and always with a sense of humor, I hope this story gives you a look behind the sheen of social media of what it's like to risk it all with the people you love the most & who drive you the craziest, all at once.
