It's Women's History Month, and we want to Celebrate Amazing Women.

In this episode, we have a great conversation with an Amazing woman who has gone beyond boundaries in so many ways. Dr. Donna Akiba Harper was an English Professor at Spelman College in Atlanta, Ga from 1987-2020, now Professor Emerita. Dr. Akiba is the author of the only book-length study examining Langston Hughes' celebrated Jesse B. Semple Stories, Not So Simple: The "Simple" Stories by Langston Hughes (1995).

Dr. Akiba is recipient of numerous awards, author of many articles and book reviews. She is a World Traveler and has even lectured in China, Turkey and all throughout the U.S. She is an ordained Elder, wife and mother of one adult daughter.

She shares so much wisdom and encouragement for women of all ages in this episode.

Dr. Jarrod Day, is a Board Certified, Fellowship Trained Vascular Surgeon, extensive researcher and presenter at national and international conferences, Wellness advocate and Speaker, Entrepreneur in Real Estate, runner, husband and father, and child of God. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Morehouse College and a graduate of Duke University School of Medicine. He has practiced medicine for more than 20 years.

There are so many reasons why people start on a wellness journey. I discuss in this episode why I began my wellness journey and how it was so different from conventional medicine. My journey has taken unexpected turns, and I have learned along the way to do what God is telling me to do, no matter how unconventional it may seem. It is always a greater blessing in it.
