This episode is about backlash, what it is and the way it can benefit our awakening to ourselves. Backlash is what happens when the ego rears up and what progress we have made seems to disappear. We regress to where we were before we started self investigation. To have old behaviors return can be extremely discouraging. The narratives that come alongside this return can be learned about before they show up, and this way we can know how to handle the experience if or when it happens. Today I'll be talking about examining commonly accepted beliefs that we can examine with profound implications on our sense of separateness, turning into a sense of wholeness. Where is the present moment, is it in a measurable place? We don't need to explore the beliefs we don't know we have- the easiest way is to start with the ones that we believe but we have good evidence to question. In self investigation and integration of separateness we must question and discard every identification and concept to realize ourselves fully. So, we begin here with basic assumptions.

1. Welcome to the Wholeness Wisdom Podcast! In this episode I describe how to discern between emotional pain and biological needs and how to begin changing our response to emotional stress.
2. Here I present an exploration into what our experience of desire, psychological suffering, and biological suffering are- from an evolutionary standpoint. I explain how what is learned is an imagined experience of pain, based on the past.
3. At the end I offer the first step to participating in the evolution of yourself, a step toward the end of emotional suffering. Stress and psychological suffering are not a necessary function (anymore) and the response to them can be re-learned, and updated so that we no longer are navigating life with thoughts as a source of pain.
4. The next episode (Ep.3) will be about desperation, rock bottom, dark nights of the soul, and exasperation... and how these can be an evolutionary push to completely participate in self awakening. This is how to awaken, without swallowing any dogma, and also practically how to be free from stress related habits and eating disorders (which I help people with daily).
