  • Wild Wild Left Radio #205 Eat the Rich
The war is on again, full tilt boogie with Obamacare Medicare and food stamp cuts while the drumbeats whimpers for war.
The Earth is turning against us in our greed, while we test more nukes.
You seriously could not make this shite up.
Join tonight, call in, rant along!

  • Wild Wild Left Radio #204 Co Flood; Obama VS Putin
Colorado is undergoing a 500 year flood, with little National attention.  In 24 hours, they got more than their annual precipitation average. Hopefully, we will have a local report from fellow leftist and resident Jenelle Green.  Her mother is trapped in Lyons, so her availability is tenuous.
Then?  A contrast and compare of Obama's speech versus Putin'a letter, with scathing commentary by yours truly.  I'll be working off the cuff, with visceral responses.  I did not watch Obama live.  I like my TV sans bricks through it.
    Call in, vent with us....

  • Wild Wild Left Radio #203 Lovely Dreadlocks ~ Dreadful World
We live in a world where Tiana Parker is told that wearing her hair in a natural style is inappropriate, and cries tears of rejection from adults in her world who are supposed to understand being Black in America.
We live in a World where the President acts like he is doing us a favor by asking Congressional approval to go into a war on false premises, rather than the Law of the Land.
And, we live in a World where people are increasingly standing up to the dread of war, like the March in DC in 9/11 by both the March Against Drones and Million American March Against Fear.
I will be taking calls tonight, first from the rep's of the marches, then by callers like you!

  • Wild Wild Left Radio #202 M.A. Gottlieb, Syria, Fukushima
Michael Gottlieb, former co-conspirator and ally in all things wildly subversive steps out of Political retirement to re-join Wild Wild Left radio tonight!
Now a published author, I will have a chance to pick his brain about his awesome novel, The Fourth Wall, the process of writing, and the art of living on the stage.
Of course, we will sink our teeth into the News, as always.  Syria is looming like a hair trigger brandished by madmen bent on world domination.. or destruction.  Fukushima may make that point moot, as the ocean boils and the possibility of uncontrollable meltdown becomes more likely.
Oil is still spilling, rigs are burning and the Gulf is still a toxic stew

  • Wild Wild Left Radio #201 Murder by Cop Michael Nida's Story
Tonight I have the honor of speaking to the family of Michael Nida II's family.  His Sister, Terri Thaxton Teramura and Mother Jean Thaxton will be joining us.
Michael was on a date with his wife, Naily, and was profiled by police for crossing the street from a gas station to stop in at a tobacco shop for cigarettes.  They frisked him, then bullied him, and frightened him.  He was unarmed. When he ran?  They shot him 5 times in the back.
No charges were brought on his murderer, Officer Gilly.
These brave ladies, other friends and family have created Nida's Rydas to protest the endemic violence by the police, up to and including murdering citizens.
It will be a heart rending show.

  • Wild Wild Left Radio #200 The Cost Of Nt'l (in)Security
What has the movement to a "Security State" really cost us?
In terms of privacy?  In terms of jobs?  In terms of individual freedom?  How about in terms of actual Democracy?
Tonight my focus is on those very real costs, how are they are trying to divert our focus from it... and what we should be paying attention to.

  • Wild Wild Left Radio #199 Noam Chomsky on Snowden & NSA
Once again, I am thrilled and honored to bring Noam Chomsky to Wild Wild Left Radio.
Professor Emeritus at MIT, linguist, political activist and philosopher, author of over 100 books, and winner of this year's Global Exchange Human Rights Award, Noam is arguably one of the best and most dedicated minds of our generation.
Noam has called Snowden a hero, adding his name on the petition to Ecuador President Rafael Correa to grant political asylum to him.  He has publicly stated that the NSA considers the primary enemy of the US to be we, the US citizens.
Tonight, he joins us to give his thoughts about the surveillance state, Snowden, and the freedom of reporters like Glenn Greenwald to report the illegal activities of our own government without fear.

  • Wild Wild Left Radio #198 Guy McPherson NearTerm Extinction
Tonight Guy McPherson, Professor Emeritus of Natural Resources and Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona joins us to talk about Climate Change and Near Term Extinction.
Despite the media black out, and misinformation campaign by the minions of the Ruling Class, this brave man dares to join the few scientists addressing reality - we are truly and well on our way to an uninhabitable planet.
Our goal is to offer user friendly explanations of what feed back loops are, what a 2 degree Celsius rise means, and how quickly that will turn into a 6 degree rise that will ultimately mean the death of the planet.
Depressing, to be sure... but if I found I had terminal cancer, I would fight with every fiber of my being to live... so lets arm ourselves with the facts, and fight on....

  • Wild Wild Left Radio #197 Codifying 'State's Rights'
It been a week of seeming wins, losses and conflicting emotions this news cycle.
One thing is for certain - other than the Militarized Surveillance State, precedents are being set to de-centralize your government.
In other words, we have lost the Civil War.
Let me explain why I think this is the case.... and how inherently racist it is.

  • Wild Wild Left Radio # 196 The US needs a Brazilian. Badly.
Faux Left leadership?  We have it.
Mistreatment of the lower classes?  Absolutely.
    Police brutality?  Epidemic.
Counting those who want reform "enemies of the State"?  That's us.
Class Warfare?  They are killing us.
Lets take a look at what is happening in Brazil and why it should be happening here...
