Welcome to season two where I will be sharing BTS as a mum of four, fifo wife & entrepreneur!
This episode is all about evening routines. I share a rough outline of what ours looks like and discuss the compromises I make to balance the needs of my kids, and my own sanity.
As mentioned in the episode below is a short breakdown of our evening flow:
- boys play outside, I prep dinner from the menu plan
- sit to eat dinner (80% of the time) with a little gratitude prac
- tidy up and snack (fruit, yoghurt, popcorn)
- boys in bed for quiet time with ipads
- in rolling 15 minutes we take Mr 3s ipad and say goodnight, Mr 5s and then Mr 6s
- normally all three littles are asleep before 8:30pm
- Shower (with candles, essential oils and music)
- load the dishwasher, wash dishes
- wipe down benches, dining table
- check boys clothes are out for next day plus shoes
- 7 min evening yoga flow
- sip tea in bed while I read, listen to poddy/audio book, watch tedtalk/netflix doco
- night shift chat with hubby
- lights out at 10/10:30pm
*my teen goes to bed between 10/11pm
