If you're a Christian and you feel like you need to add a little more to what Jesus did on the cross to earn your salvation by doing "good things"...you are likely caught in the web of legalism.  On today's show Russ & Yvette discuss the filthy rags of a legalistic worldview and how it can rob your joy and put a burden on you that God never intended.

God's grace and mercy through faith in Christ's work on the cross is plenary (full) and is all anyone will ever need to be made right in the eyes of God.  Run to Christ...not works!  If run to Him, works will most assuredly be a part of your life because of Christ in you will compel you to do so in His name, not your own.

On today's show Russ and Yvette discuss the dangers of churches today being too "brand-focused", rather than Christ-focused.  Russ places emphasis on the fact that God is not a brand...He's the great "I AM."  Can the church embrace new multi/omni-channel strategies and stay laser-focused on Christ alone? Or, will "church brand loyalty" trump all?  We'll find out!

We urge Americans to pay attention to the active case against socialism happening before our very eyes in Venezuela. Power outages, looting, and crime intensify as the once wealthy country is now falling apart at the seams. If you think socialism is a good thing take a look at Venezuela!

Darkness...the absence of Light!  We read through Romans 1:16-32 as it gives us a glimpse into what happens when we turn our backs on God.  It gets dark folks! Real dark! Revival starts with each of us individually!

If you've ever been audited in any way then you know how grueling it can be when an auditor probes through every nook and cranny.  An IRS audit can leave you frustrated and confused, but imagine if as a Christian you had to earn your salvation and pass an eternal audit with God himself as your auditor. 

Today, Russ & Yvette discuss the pressures of an aerospace audit that Russ is going through at work and relate it to what it might be like standing in front of God and being judged for all the sin "infractions" he's ever committed.  The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), but God's love prevails and his grace and mercy are endless #InChristAlone.
