“We do payrolls. And one of the things I did after reading Gerber is I immediately set up a payroll checklist. And this was the beginning of our book of procedures, and it was a list of how a payroll was to be done. And so if my employees did it, it was as if I had done it. So it was like a CPA had done the payroll. And I explained to them that, hey, things will screw up. Things will happen. We'll talk about it. We'll fix the checklist. We'll change procedures, whatever. But if you mark something on that checklist and say, I've done that and you didn't do it, you're fired. Okay? You can do it and make a mistake, and we'll work with it. Training, procedure, whatever. But if you tell me I did it and you didn't do it, you're fired. That became an absolute. You have to do the steps. You have to do the whole process. And if you do, then you're going to give the client what they want. I've proven that I know how to do it. I'm an expert at it. But I'll be honest. My staff doesn't let me do payrolls anymore. Different software, different times. And I'd have to go back and start over to learn how to actually do the payroll. Now, what I do, there's two things I do as CEO. First of all, I'm the tax expert. I deal with the IRS. I'm the CPA. I'm the US. Tax Court practitioner. I file the corporations and represent my clients in US. Tax Court. That's my specialty. The other thing I do as CEO is make my employees job easier, make them more efficient, more effective, get them the tools, the training, the knowledge to do their job better and better and better” - Charles Read

“To be honest with you, one of the stipulations in the contract was a $2 million signing bonus. And what has transpired since is the early part of basically the first day I got a signed contract, I started collecting money and I collected a few hundred thousand dollars just in like 48 hours before I was even back home and settled. And when we started reaching out to set up this safety net around doing this legally, making sure Birdman was safe and wouldn't land in court, making sure we wouldn't land in jail, we found that we had to kind of cover our butts for the way we were collecting money. So we had to halt collecting money. At that point, we weren't to a certain number of investors and we were still in a safety zone or a gray area. And so we stopped all our legal entities in line. It took two weeks, cost $225,000. We did the corporate structure I talked about with Wyoming and all of that stuff and I thought that I found an angel investor for $2 million” - David Boutte
