Arrogance is the number one enemy in the Christian's life. Be careful not to fall into the trap of self-justification, self-deception, and self-absorption. They lead to misery and self-destruction. “Blessed are those who hear My Word and keep it” (Luke 11:28). Learning Scripture by studying under the authority of a pastor is the path to wisdom. “A wise man will hear and increase in learning, and a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel” (Prov 1:5).
