This is a special episode in which C-Dub shares what led to the recent discussion about Gideon.  It actually came from realizing that there are some common principles from the Lord of the Rings characters-the Ents.  

We finish our discussion of Gideon, by getting into what happened with Gideon's victory over the Midianites, and how success can reveal your flaws.  We also get into the plague of selfishness and complacency that is as old as human nature.....and Gideon's unique way of dealing with it.

We continue to talk about Gideon and glean some insights regarding how the Lord had Gideon diminish the number of soldiers to fight the Midianites and the ensuing battle. We find that it's more important to have the right people rather than a whole lot of people.  We also get into the importance of measuring and testing prophetic words and most importantly, how it is vital to be obedient to God's commands.

In these next few episodes we are going to get into the story of Gideon because we believe that there are some aspects of this story that are pertinent today for the Body of Christ individually as well as corporately.  In this episode we cover Judges 6-the call of Gideon by the Lord.

We continue our discussion of faith working by love and get into some experiences we had where God used people to manifest His Love to us and how it shaped our faith and prepared us both for our wilderness journeys as well as gave us a walking example of how not to get into offense.  We also take a rabbit trail and ask how many times are the things that offend us real, and while we might think we have a right to be offended, Christ gives us the responsibility to forgive.

While on vacation, the Lord started speaking to Bones about the connection between faith and love.  Specifically how we often think we need more faith when really it is our love walk that is lacking.  It's something we both deal with regularly and that's why we are talking about it in these next two episodes.

We conclude our accounts of what we did on vacation and get into some of the lessons learned and things that the Lord showed and shared with us.  The Wind has a Voice and if you're listening, you can hear what the Holy Spirit is saying.
