Welcome to Episode 25! We start the show off on inflation, on the eve of the May 2022 Consumer Price Index (CPI) release, which is expected to show inflation was 8.3% in May. Incredibly, Putin is the one correctly assessing the true causes of inflation - our out of control printing press - while our US leaders continue to gaslight us about the causes. We also ask why our leaders are suddenly admitting that inflation is actually high. Has it gotten so bad they have no other choice? We also discuss how the data shows we may already be in a recession. (0-12:45)

We next cover a feel good #DefundingTheWoke story. Axios is reporting that CNN, which has a new boss under new ownership, is “evaluating partisan talent” as part of a push to return to hard news and journalism. While we’re still skeptical it’ll actually happen, there’s no doubt Brian Stelter, Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon are feeling the heat. The article stated that “if talent cannot adjust to a less partisan tone and strategy, they could be ousted” - so we will be watching this story closely. (13:20-21:35)

We move onto #WokeInTheWild, where we start with one of our favorite sources of material for the show, The View. Joy Behar said this week that “once black people get guns in this country, the gun laws will change” - just another classic from those ladies. Next we contrast the media’s fascination with Lizzo and her bare ass with body positivity activists being offended by Sydney Sweeney’s latest outfit. And we finish up with the NFL’s Carolina Panthers adding a transgender cheerleader to their squad, with TB offering a theory as to why they’re the first team to do so. (21:35-34:35)

We finish up the show with a packed ReWokeables. Several Tampa Bay Rays players declined to wear a Pride Night rainbow patch, and they were called out by an Around the Woke panelist at Disney-owned ESPN, the home of WokeCenter. We then celebrate San Fran District Attorney Chesa Boudin being recalled, including some interesting voting patterns. The majority of Boudin’s support came from wealthy white liberals; it turns out the ones pushing SF's Woke Utopia don’t want to live in it. And finally, we finish up with a Survivor update in which a certain castaway continues playing and ultimately weaponizing the race card. (34:35-57:15)

Welcome to Episode 24, our first show with a guest! We welcome Brandon from Green Candle Investments to the show, after connecting with him on Twitter due to our mutual interest in Bitcoin and stocks. 

We start the pod with Brandon giving an introduction to why he started Green Candle Investments and his vision for future content (0:00-13:15). Next we dive into current thoughts on Bitcoin and stocks, including long-term price predictions, recession talk and a stock pick (13:15-27:10).

We then give Brandon the floor for an all-time LeBron rant, after which we discuss how we're enjoying the playoffs without LeBron and his divisive antics present (27:40-48:30). We finish up our Sports Corner with TB and SB celebrating how well the Rangers and Celtics are doing (48:30-51:05).

Like TB, Brandon is Hispanic, and we get his insight on why he thinks Hispanics are shifting right politically. We also hear about his background and growing up and how he's unfortunately lost friends due to political differences (51:05-1:08:50).

We next react to some outrageous but also not surprising news that the majority of millenials making over $250k are living paycheck to paycheck. Brandon also gives his thoughts on the issues of student debt and higher education more broadly (1:08:50-1:25:55).

After getting a Florida vibe check - much more freedom down there than East Coast cities or San Fran which we detailed last episode (1:25:55-1:31:55) - we finish up with a couple of surprise WokeInTheWilds to react to (1:31:55-1:49:10).

Through interacting with various redditors on the site, we've seen things you truly wouldn't believe. We also discuss how two subreddits removed our post and threatened us with bans if we continued posting about the show.

We have a robust Bitcoin segment this episode, including the excellent sign that is Bitcoin Dominance - Bitcoin's market cap as a % of total crypto market cap - rising fast. We then touch on Elon's tweets demolishing the phony scam that is ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) investing.

We close the show with a tale that could only be told in Woke America in 2022: a woman being sexually assaulted in the Metaverse. Meanwhile, Zuck laughs all the way to the bank.

Welcome to Episode 22. We're coming to you after a heartbreaking last couple of weeks, as senseless mass shootings are happening far too often. We decided to dedicate an entire episode to examining why we think they're occurring so frequently, what can be done about it, and how we can improve the dialogue around the issue. Therefore, we've launched our first ever "Societal Deep Dive" show; we hope it is informative and thought provoking. We encourage you to share this show in particular with friends and family.

We first recap the recent Uvalde shooting and go through the history of the 2nd amendment and "gun culture" in America. We cite data that shows guns often save lives as they're used as protection. We then discuss how we believe the recent string of mass shootings is a mental health issue rather than a gun issue, and touch on several troubling signs for our youth including the demise of the nuclear family, loss of economic opportunity and feelings of isolation exacerbated by technology. Then we discuss major debate points on the gun rights issue and try to find common ground on solutions, rather than what we often see which is political figures yelling past eachother and going to extremes.

We next turn to the gross responses from the left. They seemingly turn every tragedy into an attempt to score political points, and this one was no different. Former President Obama - the great Divider in Chief - is king at this, and we discuss some history of how his election marked an incredibly hopeful time for the country, but things quickly turned south, especially for race relations. We also play clips from Warriors coach Steve Kerr, and ultimately ask why there is selective outrage, as the left only responds to some tragedies and not others.

Welcome to Episode 21! We begin the episode celebrating more Woke Defunding. Netflix has fired Woke employees and cancelled several Woke shows, including leading "antiracist" Ibram X. Kendi's "Antiracist Baby." And in a sign of another media company potentially dropping the Woke, the new Warner Bros. Discovery CEO is planning to meet with currently cancelled TERF (trans exclusionary radical feminist) J.K. Rowling to discuss Harry Potter series for HBO Max. (0:00-20:10)

We next discuss the latest in Bitcoin, including TB's discussion with pro-Bitcoin boomers last weekend and El Salvador's event. (20:10-32:15) After some macro economy and financial markets coverage (32:15-38:05) we move onto Elon and Twitter. He is fighting the Woke with an incredible amount of fervor and we highlight some of his best tweets. (38:35-53:30) The Woke mob is also coming after Josh Donaldson, in yet another example of how the media assumes racism first and our society is now guilty until proven innocent. (53:30-1:05:05)

TB gives us a a real life WokeInTheWild, and we also discuss NPR's insane mask policies. (1:05:05-1:17:05) We then finish up with a ReWokeables, as we discuss Bill Maher's monologue which cited the same LGBTQ+ stats as us. (1:17:05-end)

Welcome to Episode 20! We recorded Monday night (5/17) and originally intended this to be a shorter episode, as TB is traveling for work and will be back later in the week. But the Woke stories came in furiously yesterday, even accelerating as we got closer to recording the pod! So we ended up with yet another jam-packed episode. It seems the world wants this podcast to succeed, as the show writes itself! We hope you enjoy listening.

We start off the show discussing the Buffalo shooting and the predictable media and political reaction. All we want is a fair game and tragedies to not immediately be exploited in an attempt for political gain and tightening of free speech, but in Woke America in 2022 that's too much to ask for. We also read some old tweets and articles from Dems celebrating demographic changes in the US - as they would lead to more Democrats in power, they believed - the same thinking that apparently you can't say on air or else you're encouraging violence (0-24:50). We next move on to the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue going further Woke, and discuss what this says about society. We also ask what kind of country have we created for the next generation when one of them commits such an abhorrent act as in Buffalo and countless other shootings (25:25-37:15).

Continuing on free speech, we discuss the latest Project Veritas video about Twitter, and enjoy some excellent tweets from both Elon Musk and, surprisingly, Jeff Bezos, about the current regime's shortcomings. When things are bad enough for WashPo Bezos to criticize the Brandon administration, you know it's rough out there (37:15-52:10).

Next we cover some new Bitcoin developments. El Salvador President Nayib Bukele brought central bank and financial authority executives from 44 countries to his homeland to discuss how the bitcoin experiment is working out so far. This could one day be seen as one of the most important events in monetary history. We also discuss how Ben Bernanke - perhaps the man most responsible for the inflation and economic destruction we see today - not only laughs off bitcoin, but doesn't even understand gold's history as money (52:10-1:05:20).

We then move onto a Sports Corner focused on the NHL and NBA Playoffs, where TB's Rangers and SB's Celtics pulled off Game 7 wins on Sunday (1:05:20-1:19:05). We have a laugh about how we're already seeing woke absurdity from Jen Psaki's replacement on her first day (1:19:05-1:23:25). And finally, we close the pod with a ReWokeables. Netflix makes a first move towards shedding its WokeFlix label, while ESPN went WokeCenter again and continues making Disney the Wokest Place on Earth (1:23:25-1:37-25).

Welcome to Episode 19! We begin with a fierce reaction to Biden's outrageous press conference on Tuesday, where he blamed everyone but himself for the accelerating inflation we're seeing across the country. For someone who ran claiming he'd "unite rather than divide" and would "take responsibility instead of blaming others," Biden's now doing the exact opposite. We also react to the official numbers that came in on Wednesday, including how the Federal Reserve is the main contributor to inflation, not the savior as so many claim and hope.

From there, we discuss a wild week in financial markets, including coverage of Bitcoin's price collapse which was due to a variety of reasons, including Bidenflation but also the LUNA collapse and Coinbase's demolition after earnings. TB also reveals how he orange pilled his brother - right on time before a shitcoin collapse this week.

We next discuss Tom Brady's incredible 10-year, $375 Million deal with FOX Sports to call NFL games; the GOAT stays GOAT. Of course, there were Woke takes on the deal which we laugh at. Next we transition into our Sports Corner where TB revels in the first place Yankees vs. SB's last place Red Sox. 

The ongoing reaction to the Supreme Court potentially striking down Roe vs. Wade provided us a #WokeInTheWild, #EpicGaslighting, #LibsGoneTooFar and #WokeWhiplash - a first for the pod, one subject notching all 4. Then TB, a Hispanic Republican, reacts to The View's Sunny Hostin saying that "Hispanic Republican" is an oxymoron.

We end the pod with the ReWokeables. SB explains how he's continuing to watch Survivor - for show research, of course - and that the most recent episode was a great one, no wokeness involved! And we riff on the absurdity of the new Star Trek series on Paramount+ showing that in the future, a fictional World War III has been sparked by the Jan 6th protests.

Welcome to Episode 18! Our lead story is the Supreme Court leak on Roe vs. Wade, which shows the left is willing to bring down all democratic norms in their quest for power. We also cover the ridiculous FUD that's being spread about what comes next, and laugh at how suddenly liberals have remembered what a woman is. Next we discuss Biden's comments about the MAGA movement being an extreme political organization; so much for "lowering the temperature" like he promised in 2020. For our #WokeInTheWild we have a double feature from The View: they blame Trump for Dave Chapelle being attacked and float the idea of a "Sex Strike" if Roe vs. Wade is overturned. We get excited about Elon as acting Twitter CEO and wonder what he'll bring to the platform. In another new segment - Politics Corner - we look at JD Vance's win in Ohio and Royce White's candidacy in Minnesota. We wrap-up with a ReWokeables on Bomani Jones' somehow getting what could have been the lowest rated show in HBO's history renewed for a second season.

Welcome to Episode 17! We start off with a deep dive on how the CBS reality competition show Survivor went Woke this past week. It's been a pattern lately not only on several recent Survivor seasons but also the most recent Big Brother. Unfortunately these shows are no longer about strategy and gameplay but simply the race of the contestants, which makes for a poorer product. We'll see if they get woke and then go broke with more and more people tuning out. 

We then give an update on Elon Musk buying Twitter including a number of excellent Elon tweets, to which the left of course freaked out on, as they continue to show they're against free speech. Woke Disney shows up again on the pod as we introduce a new segment, ReWokeables, when we check-in on previous stories. Sage Steele's ESPN lawsuit reveals a double standard on how Disney, the owner of WokeCenter, treats conservatives and liberals. 

Next in our #WokeInTheWild we discuss the outrageous recent MSNBC piece "How right-wing extremists weaponize the idea of motherhood," from the same outlet that previously claimed getting fit and working out was right-wing. We then cover the failure of Bidenomics, which may indeed be leading us into a recession already. We end the show with another recommendation to watch Severance (previous a Weekly Antidote) and wonder why Netflix ever thought the recently cancelled Space Force, based simply on making in fun of President Trump, was a good idea.
