The Woke Antidote

Welcome to Episode 16! We lead off the pod with a TB recap of his weekend in the South, where freedom rings much more than in East Coast liberal cities. We then hit our top story - Elon Musk buying Twitter! We think this can be an absolute game changer for free speech. We also riff on several #WokeInTheWild reactions from the craziest libs - it sure does seem like a good portion of the left hates free speech. Next we launch into a Sports Corner where we discuss what's gone wrong in the NBA and why we think players are so unhappy. We then highlight some #EpicGaslighting from our government on inflation, and end up having an in-depth discussion about the unfortunate student debt crisis. We finish up the pod with another laugh at CNN+ - the liberal media gaslighters gaslit themselves!

Welcome to Episode 15! In a special streaming-focused episode, we cover the incredible fall of Netflix, which is now losing subscribers and saw their stock decline by 40% this week after they reported earnings; indeed, Netflix stock is down to $215 from a high of $700 in November - so what happened? We diagnose a variety of issues, including their comically woke programming. We also discuss the state of streaming, including how binge releases may not be sustainable and why watching sports on streaming is fast becoming extremely expensive.

Next we celebrate the demise of CNN+, which is one of the first major instances of Woke Defunding. We'd like to see more. Why did CNN executives think there was a demand for this product, and what does it say for their news organization that CNN actually fake news'd themselves by telling employees the service was a massive hit?

We close the episode with another Weekly Antidotes, including The Last Kingdom and Severance, the latter of which benefitted from weekly episodes rather than Netflix's Binge and Burn strategy.

We next preview the upcoming Bitcoin Conference in Miami, where we're hoping for some fireworks. After another round of #WokeInTheWild, we diagnose the problem with "The Problem With Jon Stewart" - he went too woke. We finish up the pod with a #LibsGoneTooFar in the medical field and close out with a Sports Corner devoted to the absurdity of Colin Kaepernick wanting back in the NFL - which just a few months ago he was comparing to slavery.

Our lead story this episode is how Biden's Supreme Court nominee couldn't answer what a woman is - a rarely seen #WokeInTheWild, #LibsGoneTooFar and #EpicGaslighting trifecta. We next cover the incredibly bullish Bitcoin news from the past week, including energy giant Exxon Mobil selling gas to bitcoin miners, Russia saying they'll accept energy exports in bitcoin, and Treasury Secretary Yellen coming out with positive bitcoin statements.

Our #WokeInTheWild covers Adidas commercials, Lizzo's Big Grrrls and how staying fit is apparently far right, and we end up having a philosophical discussion on whether the government wants us fat and sedated. Then #LibsGoneTooFar touches on the absurdity of Dems thinking Kavanaugh had it easier than Kentaji Brown Jackson. Our Sports Corner covers March Madness and the Cleveland Indians name change, and we finish up reviewing Bomani Jones' new HBO show and wonder if there's an audience for woke sports (there isn't).
