More. We want more! But what is it that we really want more of? At this time of year, with advertisements and commercials aplenty, we could easily be lured into wanting more of the stuff that we already have — newer or bigger and better versions. Yet, most of us have lived long enough to recognize that this never has, and never will, satisfy the deepest longings of our hearts. What we really are looking for, far more than anything else, is more joy, hope, love and peace in our lives. Between now and Christmas, our church family will be digging into God’s word to see how the coming of Jesus can bring with it these things that we so deeply need.
