Back on the retrospective with one of the most bizarre movies Woody Allen has had his hands mixed up in. Admittedly and as always there are some big hitters here regarding the actual cast but with such a random comedy romp script, you might have thought this was one of those 'old funny ones' woody used to make in the 70's or something :P

Who the hell actually directed this movie anyway - does this director even actually exist??? - even given our research this is a perplexing mystery within itself!

Picking Up The Pieces (2000) focuses on the small town of El Dorado, New Mexico, where a severed hand is discovered by a blind woman, this oddly found limb sparks a series of miraculous events and religious specticle. The hand is believed to be a relic with healing powers, and soon the town is transformed into a pilgrimage site.

Among the pilgrims is Tex Cowley (Woody Allen), a kosher butcher who recently killed his unfaithful wife, Candy. Tex, haunted by guilt and remorse, sees the severed hand as an opportunity to escape his past and start anew. He poses as the hand's owner, claiming to have lost it in a tragic accident.

Back on the retrospective with arguably Woody Allen's most buck-wild black comedy romp that pushes his usual comedic limits way into the asshole zone we just loved to behold :)

Deconstructing Harry (1997) is a black comedy that follows Harry Block, a successful New York novelist who draws inspiration for his work from the people he knows in real life, often causing them to become alienated from him as a result.

Despite the harsh realities he faces, Harry remains unapologetic, clinging to his belief that his art justifies his actions. He even goes so far as to defend himself against the accusations of his fictional characters, arguing that they are merely creations of his imagination.

Don't Drink the Water (1994) was a made-for-television movie starring Woody Allen and Michael J. Fox.
