1. “But he’s probably lurking around here somewhere. Split up and find him!” - demanded one of the smugglers to his associate.

Concealment by means of disguise.

Silly or stupid; anything or anyway that doesn’t make sense at all.

2. Quit those nonsensical ways of life–staying up late, binging TV series, and getting addicted to app games and social media–and pull yourself together!

1. Expecting others to be paragons of virtue and pan out the best possible scenario doesn’t seem to be the most reasonable hope to have.
