The thing is, stocks make recognizable patterns–and you can learn to identify those patterns. 

First, get your hands on $1000 (go out and have a garage sale if you need to). Then learn how to do small money trading (we teach you how at tradeway.com).

I recommend you try and triple that $1000 in the first three months, and then try and do it again. 

(Once you have about $10,000 in your trading account, you can start to do some real damage with that. 😀)

Today we’re going to be answering the question, “Is gold a good investment?” 

One of the biggest reasons people consider buying gold as an investment is its price appreciation. Gold has a 20 year average annual rate of return of 8.8%. Now this is only a few percentage points behind stocks over the same time frame. 

You can’t argue that an almost 9% annual rate of return is bad. But that’s not the only benefit of buying gold. 

Let’s talk about some of my other favorite reasons to purchase this precious metal.

I’ll never forget the experience of becoming a first time precious metals investor over a decade ago.

I was excited about the idea of owning real money in a format that could withstand all of the generations to come so that my kids could have a valuable asset handed down to them.

Have you ever thought, “I need more money, so I’m going to have to work harder to get it.” 

You might think the harder you work, the more likely you are to get a promotion or a raise. Or you might think you have to work harder by working more hours so that you can make more money.

But working harder doesn’t actually build wealth. 

What does?

The value of the dollar used to be directly tied to gold, but that was done away with in the 1970s.
