Rev. Lee looks at the centrality of the resurrection in the proclamation of the early church, both in the apostolic preaching in the book of Acts, and in Paul's gospel presentation in Romans. In this way we can see how Christ's resurrection is central to the Gospel we confess.

Rev. Lee explains what it means that "Love fulfills the law" and "the law is written on believer's hearts" in the new covenant.

Rev. Lee looks at how the cross is the very center of the church's proclamation of Christ, and how the the creedal teaching on the Trinity and the human and divine natures in Christ is the necessary foundation for this proclamation.

Rev. Lee unpacks Paul's teaching about the governing authorities in chapter 13, and the ever-difficult command that Christians have to submit to these divine servants. These servants are legitimate, but provisional, and common, yet accountable.

Rev. Lee explores the significance of the "eternal begetting" of the Son. This phrase was crucial at the council of Nicea both to describe the relationship between the persons of the Father and the Son, and to affirm that the Son was co-eternal with the Father and fully divine

Rev. Lee describes how the gospel transforms the new covenant church to enjoy a radically new relationship to our neighbors in the world as agents of God's mercy, "making room" for God himself to exercise his wrath in the coming judgment.

Rev. Lee concludes Paul's argument in Romans 9-11 about how the election of a remnant has always been at the center of God's gracious promises.
