The Word to Wisdom

Easter Morning

This is a depiction of first Easter morning when Mary Magdalene ran to the tomb where Jesus was laid, only to find it empty.

I also have a special guest on this episode, my dear friend Liza Tennant, singing a stunning song she wrote called Calvary, with me on guitar - at the end of the message.

Enjoy this somewhat “out of the box” Easter message, intended to show the resurrection of Jesus from a more personal point of view.  I hope it is a great blessing to you this Resurrection Sunday.

This episode is about the importance and power of praise and thanksgiving to God, especially in uncertain times. Praise and thanksgiving are the opposite of fear. Praise builds our faith and focuses our eyes on our savior!  More than ever, this is our time to praise God and see the glory of His power in all the earth.

Part Two of the Uncertain Times series.

This episode concentrates on how we can pray in uncertain times, times of trouble, or, at any time.  This is to encourage you to rise up past the, "Oh Lord, I'm overcome with fear, just do something," prayer.  Rather, we can use God's Word and pray a prayer that declares His powerful truth, and then stand on His truth.  "... and having done all, stand." Eph. 6:13

Good verses to have while listening:
Proverbs 18:21, John 6:63, 1 Peter 5:8-9, Isaiah 54:17, James 5:17, Psalm 46:1, Psalm 91, Eph. 6: 13.

With news of the Coronavirus (COV-19) being the talk of the town, and pretty much the whole world, fear has undoubtedly taken a grip-hold of many believers hearts.  This episode is for those who are feeling afraid and discouraged.  This is to encourage you to remember God's love, His power, and His protection towards you.

For God has not given the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Tim. 1:7 (KJV)

Good verses to have on hand while listening:

This is part two of this series called We are Sons & Daughters.  This week is a little different in that we are recording outside at the beach in NC, and you might even hear some seagulls and waves.  More importantly though, this is a casual, but heart felt, discussion about our place as sons and daughters of God.  I feel that this is so important and critical to our Christian lives that I just wanted to sit with you, as it were, on the beach and talk more about this in a personal way.

Note: If you haven't heard part one yet, please do listen, you'll be glad you did, and it will make this important topic come alive for you.

I hope you are as blessed by this series, as I have been.

Important verses to have on hand while listening:

This episode encourages us by saying, "Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God." This is a fundamental teaching that is critical to our lives in Christ so we can walk and live in our rightful place as sons and daughters.  This is so important...I hope you are blessed by it!

My Testimony

In this episode it was on my heart to share my personal testimony.  It's certainly not complete, but I do share moments in my life that were very important as a new and very young believer. I hope you are blessed by this real life story in a way that refreshes your memory and love for our wonderful God.

I'm not teaching in this one but these verses will be nice to have on hand: John 14:6, 1 Cor. 6:17, Hab. 2:1-4
