When we think of the words Gospel, Saved, or Salvation, what do we think they really mean?  Is it just about barely making our way into heaven, and nothing more than haphazard and limited life here on earth?  

In this third episode of The Heart of the Gospel, we look into the vast greatness of what the Gospel really is, and what it means to our understanding of Salvation!

The Heart of the Gospel

This is a series about the gospel, the heart of the gospel. 

When we think of the word Gospel, we think of many different things.  We might think of the word truth, or think of books in the bible, or a holy or moral life style, and more.  And while all those may be true to degree, they are not at the heart or essence of the gospel. 

The gospel changes lives in an instant, from death to life.  The apostle Paul learned that the gospel "is the power of God unto salvation."  Romans 1:16

This series, on the Heart of the Gospel, reaches far deeper into what the gospel really is at it's heart, and, in turn, I pray that it opens up the eyes of our understanding, that we may know "what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us who believe." Eph. 1:19

Walking by Faith - Part One

In this two part series, we look at some examples from the Old and New Testaments of special people who chose to walk by faith, in spite of extreme and opposing circumstances.  Abraham and Sarah are the first examples we look at: two amazing people that were willing to walk by faith, who against hope believed in hope,* and walked in the great promises they received only by faith.

The Kingdom of God is Like… Sowing Seeds

In this first episode entitled, The Kingdom of God is Like…, I'm talking about understanding the value of God’s word and how the kingdom of God works in our lives. Using the parable of the Sower and the Seeds, this lesson depicts and creates a picture of how the kingdom of heaven works, especially concerning sowing the seeds of God's Word in our hearts if we desire a fruitful Christian life. Natural laws are used as examples of spiritual truths and laws.  Without understanding of this parable, Jesus said, "How can we understand all other parables?" Mark 4:13.  This is an important and foundational lesson.
