The Word Unleashed - Radio

The foundation of human sinfulness begins with man's hard-heartedness towards God.

Rather than respond to that knowledge with worship and gratitude, man hardens his heart and refuses to give God what He is due—that is man’s shocking response to God. And in this series, we’ll discover how we should respond to God: to acknowledge Him as the one true God, to own Him as our God, and to fear, love, and worship Him as He deserves.

The kingdoms of this world are human and temporary; only God's kingdom is eternal.

Beyond the rise and fall of earthly dynasties, the text declares that God Himself will decisively intervene through the future return of His Son, Jesus Christ, to establish an everlasting kingdom that will never be conquered or replaced. Friend, as you look to the culmination of history, are you ready for the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, and is your life completely invested in the only kingdom that will endure forever?

Although God disclosed His plan in Nebuchadnezzar's dream, neither Nebuchadnezzar nor anyone else would have ever known its significance or meaning unless God had revealed it.

God sovereignly governs both the eras of human history and the individual events that make up those eras.

In Daniel 2, we see the young prophet respond to miraculous revelation with intense humility, offering genuine worship rather than seeking personal advancement. While kings, pagan officials, and false religions constantly grab glory for themselves, Daniel points the Babylonian king directly to the one true God who alone possesses perfect wisdom and power.

The distinguishing characteristic of a prophet is that they receive divine revelation from God. In the book of Daniel, God raises up Daniel to be His prophet in order to reveal the Word of God.

Today, Pastor Tom considers Daniel 2 and explains that the God who rules history is also a God who speaks. While our unbelieving world endlessly searches for meaning in things that cannot satisfy, Scripture declares that the Creator has directly revealed Himself and His sovereign care to those who seek Him in faith

Through Nebuchadnezzar's dream God reveals that He is sovereign and that no one can thwart His plan for human history.
