The World View spoke with Foundation Senior Counsel John Eidsmoe retired US Air Force about why he and Foundation Founder Roy Moore a West Point graduate and Vietnam veteran are concerned that the military is a fit fighting force

Its not supposed to be a social experiment Its not supposed to be a place where we are trying to change peoples attitudes The purpose of the military is to win wars And our soldiers dont need to be in a situation where they need to worry about whether the person in the trench next to them is going through some type of crisis

And Lt Colonel Eidsmoe applauded Trumps decision to ban trans-gendered people from the military for a second specific reason

Im concerned that if that order had gone into effect as President Obama wanted it to -- many people would be joining the military because they would want to get transgender surgery and have the military which means the taxpayers -- you and me pay for it Id rather see that money go toward missiles fighters and the other things the military needs
