The finish line is in sight and the boys are very ready to drag themselves across it. The hangover from last night’s huge revelation is real. Wearing their exhaustion on their sleeve, Tim is talking a BIG GAME about his experiment with showing the Hollywood and Worst Idea cuts of Joker 2 to an unspoiled audience. It’s the 3rd watch of the day, and the 11th watch over all so far and the bys re wearing thin. Guy is trying to figure out whether it matter if Joker 2’s director, Todd Phillips made a bad film intentionally or not. Tim believes the movie may be talking to him. Dr Abby Howells, PhD (whose doctoral thesis is fittingly 'Performing prison: How is life on the inside portrayed to the outside world?') joins Tim and Guy to praise Joker 2 for one reason only: "It is not as racist as prison movies typically are." Apart from this silver lining, there's a lot of critical clouds on the horizon of Folie à deux - a fact that will shock anyone who's listened to other episodes of this series. We've got it all - running water in the urinal, personal agency and a 7th watch of Joker 2. Tim and Guy examine the brutal reality of the seven times at the trough. Stuffed, so completely, with Joker 2.

Monty is steadfast in his belief that he simply will not be bossed around by this movie, and breaks down (with the detail and vocabulary of a decades-long sports commentator) the back and forth of the boiz' latest fight. Guyguy also puts up a spirited defence of Steve Coogan's performance within the context of the borderline impossible acting job he had to perform. And let us not forget the brilliant Catherine Keener.

Tim meanwhile wants to dig deep into the nature of comedy (again), clowns and what the movie was trying to do with all three of those things.

A damaged Lithium Ion battery pack has become a ticking potential timebomb threatening to destroy The Classic (Tim and Guy's current abode) adding beautiful background tension to this episode.
